That's only about the most obvious hire ever made.

Belichick's refusal to work with guys he hasn't worked with before has put a governor on his time post-Brady.

That franchise needs new blood and new ideas. And Belichick simply will not allow it.

And there's no way he's going to change at this point so it may be time to move on from BB.

Agreed, but I can’t imagine Kraft letting him go, even if it is best for the franchise long term.

I was just happy this thread wasn’t about Billy Bob Thornton kicking the bucket.

Ten bucks says if BoB bolts for a college HC job or something like that, Belichick tries to scoop up McDaniels if/when he gets fired

He wants Damon Huard to get a coaching gig somewhere soooooo badly.

Because if Huard has one year of even moderate success for a goddamn high school team, Belichick will have that guy running the offense quick as a hiccup.

I listen to the Bill Simmons podcast during football because it's a pretty decent listen most of the time. He typically keeps his Pats fandom tamped down most of the time.

He laid out a pretty compelling argument that Kraft would fire Belicheat. When he started in I thought "bullshit. No way Kraft will do that."

I can't remember all the points he made, but Kraft is in his 80s, and doesn't want to suck. And they're ****ing sucking and anybody with a pulse knows a DC calling offensive plays is going to work. And the whole croney thing is just annoying.

Another thing he talked about was Belicheat was an asshole to him for a long ****ing time. He pointed back to Belicheat wanting to roll with Garoppolo and trade Brady (THAT would have looked bad) and Kraft intervening. But he also talked about Belicheat would just trade dudes or for dudes or whatever and not tell ANYONE in the building. So Kraft would have to go to Nick Caserio and try to figure out WTF was going on and most of the time, Caserio would have to go ask Belicheat (makes Caserio look GREAT for Houston, huh?).

By the end I was 1. shocked, 2. bought in. Probably won't but it might.

**** all things Brother****ing Cheatriot ****bags, but Kraft should shitcan Belicheat.

You can cross the Faketriots off the list now as a potential trade destination for DeAndre Hopkins.

It isn't just Simmons. Over the last couple of weeks, they've been speculating on it and some of the bigger shows.
