Their pass protection seems fine

Their run blocking appears to leave alot to be desired

They are the least of our concerns. Mahomes has enough time to bake a loaf of bread back there. Run blocking could be better but it’s not so terrible that it’s hurting us.

We have flaming garbage WRs. That’s the only problem we have right now on offense, but it’s a big one.

Overrated and one dimensional. Andy Heck is the equivalent of Britt Reid was as our D-line coach. There have been numerous promotions on the offensive side and Heck never gets mentioned. Now Joe Cullen Dline coach was a great Hire. You can really see the improvement since he took over the D-line. This oline struggles badly in short yardage and run blocking, something we really need right now to take pressure off of Pat and the suckage at the wider receiver position. Heck needs to get these guys to bring an attitude. It’s inconsistent. Only time you really see it is when Andy Reid himself calls out the oline.

Yes. The trash WR's are the major problem with the team and have been all year.

Seemed like Mahomes had an eternity yesterday to stand back and watch receivers not get open. Giving your QB 5 seconds to throw is a win for the OL, whether receivers get open or not. The OL is the least of the offense's problems.

Good news: WR can be addressed in volume in one offseason. Sign 1, draft 1 early, and draft 1 mid-late. Package that with Rice taking a step forward, Toney for depth/gadget plays, and Watson as a reliable option.

Bad news: I don’t know what we do this year. Rice is going to have to stop dropping the ball and keep growing. Watson is going to have to do more than he should have to. Someone else has to step up. I don’t know who will/can.

For starters, they need to quit dicking around with this WR by committee bullshit and keep Watson and Rice on the field for 90% of the snaps. I don't care if Moore and MVS know the offense and fit their "roles" better, I don't care if you have to run certain packages, keep the two best goddamn WRs on the field at all times.

This is the one thing about Reid that still drives me bonkers. I get it, we win Super Bowls, and he's amazing, but this particular issue has always irked me. Put the best WRs on the field and let them play. Your experiment has failed, just let the good players play the game please. Figure out how to make that happen. You're not fooling or scaring anyone by always rotating these guys in and out. Stop it.

I agree with that.

MVS occasionally does something right, so I can see him getting some playing time as the third WR.

Moore brings absolutely nothing. It’s incredible. Every WR we joke about from the past is more productive than Moore.

Skyy Moore couldn’t hold Donnie Avery’s jock. I would be amazed if he became Albert Wilson at this point. And many of those guys didn’t have the benefit of Mahomes at QB.

Unless your receivers can't get open, and the QB doesn't trust the receivers that do get open. In that case, run blocking is kinda necessary - especially in the RZ.

What? You think running the ball is a waste of time? Really?

Yesterday was a bad game by them. But by and large, they've been fine all season long. Last week we were lauding them for their protection against Bosa and Mack.

OL is fine for the most part, but I can't help but question now the idea that if we build an OL good enough that Mahomes will be able to find an open receiver. Mahomes often has 4-5 seconds or more to throw and apparently nobody is consistently getting open.

By the way, Thuney and Taylor are making a combined $52 million next year. Our WRs all combined are making around $22 million, less than half of those two. If they let go of MVS as they should they'll have about $8-9 million on the entire WR position. You can add in Kelce's $15.5 million and they are still WAY underinvested on offensive skill positions.

I know everyone loves Thuney and Taylor has been mostly solid at RT, but I can't say I'm a fan of the apparent lack of consideration for positional value. So many on here agreed that with a QB on a premium contract that sacrifices had to be made somewhere. I don't think that somewhere should be at WR. If you're going to pay big money on the OL, pay big for a LT. We have a G and RT both making elite LT money. Is KC also going to pay nearly $20 million a year for Creed on top of those two?

I think he'd have Mahomes chuck it 69 times a game if he could.
