I don't think I'd ever go to this if they paid me.

They should make all the traffic lights operational, just to make things interesting.

Yes, they should also legalize marijuana and prostitution.

Been here Friday and Saturday as well. First time to any sort of car race. More fun than I expected. Turn one has been brutal so far. The car clubs have got some really nice rides south of the track down by the ALMS paddock. Definitely worth checking out.
My son got both of these pics Friday during a practice sessions.

Well, Tony Kanaan was cruising down Pratt St. at about 190mph this morning only to discover he had no brakes when he wanted to make a hard right turn...

That was awesome. Right in front of us this morning. My son was taking pictures but the camera was frozen halfway to his eye as we were all kinda of in shock.
Kanaan was interviewed right after and he thanked Helio for saving his life. When he realized his breaks were out, he swerved back behind Helio to ride his breaks. Didn't get centered (the whole thing seemed instant to us as spectators), and ended up launching. The most amazing aspect of the whole incident to me is that they moved Kansan to the back of the pole (wasn't racing in the car he qualified in as they had to run a spare), and he still finished in 3rd. |

Oh, and I guess Will Power (could that be his real name?) just drove away from the field and won the actual race, too. |

Yeah, from start to finish, Power was pretty much in command of this thing. The announcers said he had the fastest lap times in all seven practice and qualifying sessions. Rahal was on his ass at the beginning of the race, but somewhere after a pit it seemed he came back on into traffic and just couldn't get by.
