Same response from officials if it happened to Brady?

Same response? No. They would have ejected the player and they would have promised Brady another parade.

And since there was Offensive Holding on the play, they "offset" the Unnecessary Roughness penalty.

You should see the apologist Pats fans on Twitter claiming the defender was defending himself from Allen lowering his helmet.

Saw that when it happened. Crazy that unnecessary roughness helmet to helmet, player knocked out of game can be 100% nullified by offensive holding. Even if it doesnt get the automatic first down from the offsetting it should carry an additional 15 yards tacked on or something. Just doesnt seem like an even trade off especially when offensive holding is used as a default "make up call" as much as it is. Its too easy of an out for the officials to nullify a clear and obvious penalty.

I agree! I only wish I could say that I was shocked about the way it went though. Instead, as soon as I saw that there was 2 flags, I knew how it was going to go.

Micah Hyde came right out and said (in post-game) that if they had hit #12 like that, they wouldn't have been finishing the game.

An ejection, for sure - along with yardage and a first down.

Honestly, Brady simply wouldn't be in that situation. He'd take the slide to avoid the hit. That's why he's still playing.

It's kind of like the stupid hurdling BS. It's hard for me to feel sorry for the guy who got hurt because he chose to make the risky play.
