If you were the coach...

Not that I would wish it on anyone, but IF you were the Head Coach of this years team, how long would you stick with your game plan before you changed. Given you had complete control over the offense and defense, no other so called coordinators to deal with?

Personnely I would give it 1 quater, or other team having a 2 score lead before I resorted to diffwerent game plan.

It is all to obvious run, run, pass won't work every game!

Having seen it win us a fair number of games with a backup QB in, I think by now I'd be pretty attached to my scheme. Especially when my RB starts ripping off long runs midway through the game and my QB seems to turn the ball over every time he drops back.

As much as I'd like to use hindsight to second guess what we did, I can't really blame Herm for what happened on Sunday.

We went into the game wanting to do exactly what we've done (and what's worked) all year...rely heavily on the RB that every defense knows is going to get the ball. We were playing one of the weaker offenses in the league. The defense was making tough stands in the face of Green's turnovers. For the most part this game played out exactly like so many other games we've been in this year. Then Baltimore went on a ten minute TD drive.

The simple fact is we suck on both offensive and efensive line. As much as the fans may have wanted to see Air Coryell calling plays on Sunday, the reality is that it would have ended up looking like a re-enactment of the Royal Rumble with Trent Green receiving all the pile drivers.

One thing I was wondering about is why we didn't really try any of our quick pass plays. I could be crazy, but I'm not sure I ever saw a screen or a quick slant the entire game.

There's a possibility that they just didn't try it because Baltimore's DB's are so freaking fast, but I thought it was odd that we didn't try it just to do something different to see if it might work.

We ran a couple and Green's throws were off target.

Something I've noticed.... between bad throws and stupid drops, the screen has been eliminated from this offense. There's a slew of plays that we could be running to burn the blitz, but they are negated by RB/FBs that can't catch and QBs that don't have the touch to put the ball in their hands in stride.

If I was coaching the game this past sunday...I would have come out of the locker with a new QB to start the second half.....as a head coach, you have to have the cojones to say "trent, it's just not your day....dont worry, it's still your job come next week...but we're going with Damon in the second half"

That, and I sure as hell wouldnt have punted the ball away on the opponents 39 yd line down by 10 at home in the 4th quarter.

First of all, I wouldn't be running the goddamned Cover Who with our personnel, and I'd also be running a hell of a lot of misdirection, screens, draws to take the starch out of their line. Then it's time to go over the top.

I bet I'm the only one, but after halftime of Sunday's game. They should have turned the offense over to Green. Don't stick to the play call if you want to try something else

I would cut Sims, Bartee, Wesley, Hicks, Bell, and Knight at the end of the season.

Move Pollard to weakside LB, no excuses. This guy can make plays and can HIT, he needs to be on the field.

Play Page and move Law to Safety.

Draft a CB in the 2nd round. We need to get younger there.

Draft a DT in the first round. Look for one in FA, etc.

Trade Trent Green to WAS ( you know they'd take him for some kickass draft pick in return). Re-sign Huard.

Ok Ill quit because Im getting crazy.
