BF,
I have to admit Denver has shown a lot of sack the last couple weeks. They could have packed it in after the Bungals game. |

Ahh come on Bronc fan, you had back to back SBs just a couple of years ago...no need to get greedy...
I will agree however that regardless of what the Broncs due...I hope the raiders get beat in the first round...do you realize that the ****ing raiders are playing for home field advantage...I'm killing myself if they go to the SB... |

I hate Denver less than the raiders, but I still want the Chiefs to hang a "dubya" on you the 17th...you'll have to do the rest on your own..
A raider fade would make me happy, and I won't root for them if they represent the west... |

What are you asking me? Am I on your bandwagon of "The offense is SuperBowl caliber, but the defense sucks worse than any in the NFL"?
If that is your question... then, 'no' is my answer. I've stopped justifying myself to you. This team is doing exactly what I said they would do... they're going to have an abover .500 record, but in the process they will win some games that they should have probably lost (at Oak, at NYJ) and they will lose some games that they should win (Cincy, Pats). This team is still searching for their identity. You're telling me that Gus is good enough to take them to the SuperBowl? You're a fool if you believe that. We need the Davis of 98 to step up, but Anderson is doing his best to take his place right now. I'm concerned about Griese and how he may have lingering injuries to his shoulder. I'm concerned that we still haven't found a #3 WR. Our defense is on 50% of the time and flat the other 50%. I'm not sure what the problem on defense is... our dline gets decent pressure and our LBs are great, but our safeties and DBs aren't doing their jobs. Yes, they're scoring a lot of points... but, I'm not about to compare them to the 97-98 Broncos. I know that you didn't make the comparison, but you're headed down that path with your statements. Denver has some serious issues, but there aren't many of them... it's just that the few that they have stick out quite a bit.
In recent years, Denver's defense was prone to the big play, but they were able to make up for that in other areas. They're not always able to do that now. Although, I'm quite impressed with the cardiac fashion that they have played lately. It's a fun team to watch, but they still scare me sometimes. Question my fandom all you like, your opinion matters little to me. GO BRONCOS!<BR> |

I'll probably be forced to root for whomever wins the AFC Central. Even though we aren't mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, it takes a freaking miracle for KC to get the last wildcard spot. I'd rather have a decent draft pick. I guess I'm not really adding much that hasn't already been said so I'll close with this. I hope both Oakland and Denver lose all their remaining games.... Call me bitter.

Phil, I agree....the best in the West is going to be sitting at home come the playoffs...

No, I don't think that Gus and Mike will be able to take us to the superbowl... they fumble to damn much.
My Bronco prediction for the rest of the 2000 season: Broncos manage, with a little luck, to win all the rest of their games. Raiders lose to both Pittsburg and New York. Griese and Terrell return the last game of the season at mile high against the 49ers. By virtue of the tie breaker, Broncos(12-4) win the division, get a first round bye, roll through the playoffs and bring home the Trophy. How? If Terrell and Brian are healthy, it can happen. Our D is terrible, but our offense with Terrell will keep our D off the field. You heard it first right here! |

Be very careful boys. Broncos have a way of sneeking back and pulling wins out of their @ss!
Don't give up and say ugly things about our team!!! |

Hey BroncoFan.....Maybe I'm influenced by my loyalties, but it looks like Oakland is playing better instead of fading in this last part of the season. The last loss to your team may have had a good effect on the them. It hurt them bad, and they have rallied with a surge in team spirit. Maybe Gruden could have kept them from getting complacent had they won that game, but we'll never know. But they sure don't look complacent right now. The last loss to Denver still lingers in their collective psyche, and they're taking it out on the remaining schedule.
Gruden is pi$$ed at they way they played their last game. Too many mistakes, got a bit too wild at times. Some coaches might have lightened up after a 41-14 pounding of the opposition, but not Gannon and Gruden (Yes, Gannon is a de facto coach). The Raiders ears will still be ringing when they take the field in Pittsburg. The way this team is coached, it will take a lot of wishful thinking to believe that they will lose two more games. This is a team on a roll, but the G-men are working hard to keep it on track. It might be prudent to anticipate that there may not be much fading in these last few games. |
