Check out the GIRLS of Death Tunnel featuring the music of 9vR...

They did a remix of the song 'Disconnected', and I actually like this remix better...

Sony pictures picked up the film, released it overseas in December but unfortunately it is a straight to video(release date Feb 28) here in the states.

You can check out the trailer here...

As a standalone song, Bob Dole prefers the original, though the remix works for the video.

If it's not out of line to ask: Is it different from a business perspective when a song is used in movies? Do you get a royalty payment per performance/copy sold, or do they buy the rights to the song outright, or what?

It all depends on the contract that you sign. In this instance, we retain all the rights to the song, and we get a small percentage of Ticket sales, DVD sales, DVD rentals & soundtrack sales(if and when that comes out.)

Plus the chance to "get noticed" by all the distrubution.

Sounds like a good deal.

I only wish this would have happened about 10 years ago when I was younger and had the time(no kids, job, etc...)
