Big Surprise on NFL Total Access

Cris Collinsworth just claimed New England is the team to beat.

I'm getting sick of the media love affair with NE. I hope they pull an Oakland Raider 4-12 season.

I do believe I would be as happy to see this as I would to see the chiefs make the AFC championship game.

Until NE tanks and gives everyone a reason to stop the love affair.....guess what? The media will continue to have a love affair with them.

Dont hate, they are damn good organization and i only wish the Chiefs were that well run......sigh...

They aren't the best team year in and year out, but they do more with less than anybody else, and they make you beat them. They are what an organization should be.

If any team deserves the "hype" it's New England.

3 Championships in 6 years.

Well run, well coached organization.

Win without having the best team on paper.

Few/no player run-ins with the law.

They've earned it, IMO.

well, PPPPPFFFFTTTT

I still hope they tank.

Yes they've done remarkable I even admire them still for that, but I don't think they are the "team to beat"

I want to go on a limb and say this is the decline year for them.

I enjoy watching New England.
They don't run out douchebags for the most part, they just get some guys who will buy in, and play good football.

I've talked about my belief that you don't build a championship team by buying big name FAs.

New England has won fairly consistently by building through the draft and plugging holes with low profile FAs for the most part.

They've moved away from that formula to some extent this offseason, so it'll be interesting to see how it works out for them.

Big Surprise #2: someone from ESPN (Mark Schlereth) picked the Arizona Cardinals to be a surprise team in the league this season. What is that 5 years running now?

I tire of the slathering after the Pats' backside as well, Mr. crazycoffey. But, we should be so lucky as to have a front office and coaching staff the caliber of NE.

Or Arizona, for that matter.

Yes we would. But that doesn't take away the fact that NE isn't the team to beat this year, again..... Mr. Fax.
