Question for 360 owners...

So, just lately I've been trying to play GoW and I get that white screen that says the disc is unreadable or something like that in all sorts of languages.

What gives? The CD isn't scratched and the rest of my 360 games work. It's unfortunate I didn't save the receipt.

i've heard a few reports of 360 drives getting so hot they "melt" the cd - making them unreadable.
take the disc to walmart - they'll replace it without the receipt.

That used to be an issue with the XBox. I believe it was related to certain drives and dual-layer discs.

I had lots of problems with EA Sports titles on my XBox, but none outside of those.

I work for Sam's and last I knew you didn't have to have a receipt to return things. So, I may to that.

Good thing is, they refund your money on a gift card, meaning I could buy GRAW 2.

I'm not sure how it applies to video games, but I know that Wally World's not big on refunds for most media (CD's or DVD's) because of copyright problems. I could see them exchanging your disc for another that is working, but I doubt they'll let you upgrade to a different game.

If all else fails I'll try to do something with it at Gamestop or EB, which I doubt will work if the disc isn't being read.

A quick hypothetical question, if my game isn't working in my 360 what are the chances it will be working in Gamestop's 360?

Is it just my 360 having a hard time reading the disc?!

I've yet to return the game, but I did rent COD3.
