Chiefs Chiefs playoff scenario

If the Chiefs win the rest of their games...

Denver loses the rest of their games...

San Diego beats Denver, but wins only one additional game (not against Oakland or KC)...

And Oakland beats Denver and San Diego, but does not win more than 1 additional game...

then the 6-10 Chiefs would win the AFC West. We have a lot of tiebreakers working in our favor.

It sounds like we should keep playing the veterans, then. It's cool that a young team like this is still battling for the division title this late in the season.

My theory is that Herm is trying to keep us in contention for BOTH the overall #1 draft pick AND the playoffs. He's just waiting unit the last minute to see which way to take this baby.

With the Raider win we are still alive, regardless of the outcome of the Chargers game tonight.

Herm proved shrewd in keeping his options open. We are still in contention for both the playoffs and the first overall pick. I have a sneaking suspicion will make his move for grabbing a playoff spot, stating this week.

Yeah, that was huge.

My worry is that Herm is waiting too long to make his move, though. He's cutting his margin of error pretty low.

He really is the WORST challenger as a coach. Does he make those decisions every game? Is there some idiot up in the box not doing their job? Both of the challenges today were unnecessary and the one was a close call. It's bunch of crap. I understand the LJ one last week, but other than that, he's a complete idiot when it comes to challenging. I think KC Wolf might be his review guy...
