Kansas City Red and Gold flows through my veins and there will never be any change. I am disappointed to say the least, but I am not going to say we suck, or we should hang up the cleats now. One game, one helluva game that we lost isn't the end. Sure I can sit here and make excuses, fact is we made mistakes and couldn't get the offense flowing, thats why we lost. But if the Raiders still want to ***** about the refs I can crank out the plays they didn't call right that hurt us too.......i.e. didn't call intentional grounding twice, didn't call delay of game twice, last field goal did not sail through uprights.........

I am as pissed as anyone, but we will still shock the world!

You know, this is going to be an up and down year. We might go into Seattle next week and play like we thought we should have played today. We may go up there and get shut out. Whatever. This is a new program, we do not have an explosive offense, our offensive line is still learning how to run block, Eric Warfield is still in the secondary, and our special teams suck. But Vermiel told us it was going to be this way. He said you don't build a team overnight, you don't know what you have until you see them in real game situations, and it'll realistically probably be a year before we can make free agent moves to bring in playmakers we want. But I feel positive about the direction of the team, I feel positive about the philosophy. It's going to take time. It's going to take patience. And as a diehard fan, I'm going to be with this team every step of the way, because when we reach the top of the mountain, all this crap we've had to go through is going to make the top feel all that much sweeter...

I by no means am throwing in the towel. I think things are in the proccess of turning around (look at our D today), I am just extremely disapointed in the loss. It was to the faiders who I just absolutley loathe, and it was my first time in Arrowhead. I was hoping for a little better memory, so this loss is even harder than most losses to the faiders. But I still say we make the playoffs this year, we start making major adjustments after today now that we have a better idea of what needs to be done, and before too long we are in the wild card hunt (maybe higher, but I wouldn't bet too much on it).

Hader,
gonna try and get some sleep....again

You think you've got it bad? I live here in the mist of Raiderland, and I've got to hear this crap at least until wednesday, when they start talking about the pathetic Jets led by ex Chiefs Terry Bradway, Herm Edwards and Paul Hackett. :)

Actually, I'm not taking this loss as hard as the other ones, because the realistic football fan in me had prepared me for a tough game this sunday. The losses last year and the year before ticked me off a little more. This one, it was tough, but I figure if we play that poorly on offense and still are in position to beat the Raiders, just wait until we get some more weapons on this team.

Here's to continuing our dominance of Seattle...

You can find a bunch mistakes in any game but the facts are that if we don't fumble away two snaps and miss the FG we win. That said we better find away to win by the lake at Huky Stadium next week.

We lost and if anything we lost with the refs giving us a couple more breaks than the Raiders got. Yet I enjoyed the game, the coaches did OK but need to do better. Yet I enjoyed the game, even though I was thoroughly frustrated losing in the last minute.

The fact for me in this game was, I could be frustrated in the last minute because my Chiefs did not quit. In the end that is all any fan can ask. We did not lose because we were outcoached, we lost because in the end we were outplayed by a more experienced team.

I am still happy. At least 5 times last season I was unable to say that.

You didn't expect this reaction tonight? When so many fans got pumped and attempted to raz the competition's fans here and on their own board?

Thing is that oak now sees some glaring weaknesses in the game that they didn't expect. KC is expected to improve, not win the SB.

Frankly, I think today they showed a vast improvement in unity and game play. I believe in 2 or 3 years they will be ready to compete again.

However, oak is poopin' right now. They were supposed to be vastly improved. Gannon got several lucky breaks, they won't continue as the officiating gets better. Rice is not Rice from 10 years ago. Wheatley ran for less against us than any RB has from oak in some time.

I can live with an 8-8 or 9-7 season with an improving team. oak is right where we were a few years ago - coming off a 13-3 season with great expectations and aging players.

re: Will The Real "chiefs Fans Stand Up??"

27-24.....Twenty-Seven to Twenty-Four.....3 points....We lost by 3 points to the defending AFC West champions and some people are acting like we lost by 49 points to the Cleveland Browns....I bet some of you still wouldn't be happy if we went undefeated all season and won the Superbowl.

The offense struggled a little, and quite honestly the Special Teams blew goats. But overall a pretty damn good day.

O.K.........I'm cool now. I really hate losing to the Raiders, especially at Arrowhead. Our D looked really good until it finally wore down. The O has to at least have more run attempts, whether they can run or not. I know things will get better as the season goes on.

I bleed Chiefs red....................:D

What's the kid have to do, Wolfie? He returned an INT for TD and was behind only Edwards in tackles?

He may not be the best CB in the league, but he sure doesn't merit the constant bashing he gets around here...

Only 2 beefs with the secondary.

1. Who had Richey? Can I egg his house?

2. Ouch. Bartee in single coverage with Tim Brown? Could that have been on purpose? Hey Will, just a tip. Put your hands up.

Other than these two things, (and an over all lack of being able to cover the underneath stuff) I can't complain too much about the defence. We were just out there too long, like the coach said.

Agree with DaWolf and Logical.
The superior team won yesterday; I'm not a stat monger, but...

the score says we lost by just a FG in the last seconds.

the stats show we got whacked.

I realize stats don't win games; critical plays do. And even without a running game or any WRs showing up (besides Minnis for 1 play), the Chiefs hung with the best team in the AFC West.

I really think what's chapping people (including me) is the deja vu aspect of this game. The last 3 times the Raiders have come to Arrowhead, we've seen a recurring theme:

1. Chiefs take lead into half-time.

2. Gannon engineers big comeback to tie game.

3. Chief kicker chokes the easy, winning FG.

4. A left-footed Raider kicker wins it with less than 30 seconds left.

Chiefs will gel!

Trusting Vermiel to NOT imitate "Stoogeness" against Seattle.
