Which magazine do you prefer SI, Sporting News, or Espn the Mag
I have received all them at one time or another, and currently get the Mag and Sporting News. Personally I think the Mag sucks. I just get it for the Insider benefits. Ever since the Tsn revamped it's layout it is off the charts. It is jam packed with information and good reads. What are your thoughts?

Neither. But SI has Joe Posnanski writing features for them now, so they automatically win.

Sporting News used to be awesome, now that they tried to make it look more like SI with pics and graphs (about 10 yrs back) it's about a wash. I still give the slight edge to SN.

ESPN the Mag is worthless, and the other two aren't a whole lot better. The only time I'll read any of them is when I'm waiting in the doctor's office and the only other choices are People or Better Homes & Gardens.

They are all crap. I got ESPN the Mag on the cheap for 4 years and it cost me 12 bucks. I still don't read it.
I do use the INsider option it provides me on their website though so I guess that made it worth it.

SN is better, especially the new format. When I read an SI it always seems like I flip through and don't see much I care to read. ESPN is ok, but I don't like the layout, and there's too much BS in it. It reminds me of one of my wife's magazines with all the ads.
I subscribe to SN (I get it as a gift every year anyway) but it seems like I never have time to read it. It comes I look through it and set it down, intending to read it later, and next thing I know another one comes in the mail. |

The Sporting News used to be the best because they would have a report on every team from the major pro leagues, even during the offseason in each issue.
I'd say #1 SI, a close #2 The Sporting News and like most things produced by the so called "Worldwide Leader"... ESPN the Magazine is the worst. |
