Misc CATS????

It seems the CP members have a lot of cats. I grew up on a farm, we had some cats just for mice, but this place blows my mind. I know a a lot of people, and can't think of any that have cats.

One of my sisters has one, but she lives in St. Louis and doesn't get out much, and is a doctor, so most of her time is working or classes.

Myself, I have always wondered why people have them as pets. From what I can tell they are not very smart, or loyal.

Dogs on the other hand are loyal, want to please, and seem to get their owners.

Sorry if this offends anyone, I guess I am just not a cat person.

Yep. Never understood the cat hate.

That said, I'm a dog person, primarily b/c I don't like having cat hair all over the place.

Just depends on the dog, or cat. I have family members who have a basset hound who is afraid of everyone that it doesn't know. My in-laws have farm dogs that don't really care about people, they just lay around all day.

I understand any animal hate, to be honest. They can be a huge pain in the ass.

Dogs are generally needy, attention whores who take awhile to train not to piss or shit indoors.

Cats can be stuck up, vengeful creatures that will draw blood if provoked enough.

Fish die too easy.

Gerbils, hamsters, ferrets, etc - smell like shit.

Birds - noisy, and smell like shit.

Reptiles - emotionless, cold, callous, and scary as hell if they escape their tanks.
