Any word on San Fran being interested in trading up to grab a QB?

I'd love to have their 2 first rounders. Having Gore and Davis, after drafting Crabtree last year seems like a waste to not have a stud QB.

SF #13 = 1150 + # 17 = 950. Total 2100
KC # 5 = 1700 + # 50 = 400. Total 2100

My logic being that they drafted a WR in Rashaun Woods in 2004 with their first rounder, followed by Alex Smith at #1 overall the next year. Woods turned out to be a bust and they waited 5 years before drafting another WR in the first. Whether Smith is a bust or not is open for debate, but if they only wait 5 years before going back to the well, this could be the year.

Wishful thinking I know.

I heard last night that Singletary has already named Smith the starter for 10. That doesn't mean they won't go QB, but I'm not sure 5 will get it done. If I wanted a QB for sure, I'd be targeting Tampa's pick.

Yeah it would probably have to be a deal where one of them was still on the board when we were picking.

That said, Smith had a 81.5 QB rating and a 60.5% completion % over the 11 games he played in so it was easily his best season as a pro.
