The Trouble with Voles

Yep. I said it. Voles.

They weren't really a problem prior to this spring as my cat had become particularly adroit at catching them, but he died this past December and I now have a full blown crisis on my hands. Tunnel holes are everywhere and I'm worrying about the garden. I'm not sure I want to set off sulfur gas bombs because of the proximity of the vole holes to the vegetable garden. Same thing with pellets.

Anyone ever have a vole problem and how did you effectively deal with it?
