This one still hurts

Christmas Eve supper with the family sucked. I expected to get let down and as a Chiefs fan I'm used to it but this one still stings so many hours later. I know any AFC West team is gonna get their butts kicked in the playoffs but it would've been nice to go into the final game with something to play for still. I just ask myself when is it finally gonna be our time?...

I feel ya. It would have been cool to go into denver next week with a playoff spot on the line. But until we get a QB, we are just going to have to keep waiting.

I'm grumpy. I'll be less grumpy if Cassel is off the roster or restructured in March.

If he's still here as unquestioned starter, the grumpiness will remain.

I don't really put this loss on the qb, Bowe dropped yet again another td pass and the the two blocked field goals are just like a god send that he didn't want us in the playoff's, yes Orton did leave atleast 3 pts out there with the endzone pic and the penelty's were horrible today, all around bad team effort.....

I will be happy when we draft a QBotf and he plays his rookie year. Then just go up from there is the hope.

It certainly ruined my xmas eve. I thought I was past this point of letting the Chiefs upset me.

It hurt bad enough after I saw that 2nd field goal blocked and the short overtime but the burn got even worse when I saw everything else fall in to place with the Bills and Lions coming out on top.

As crappy as this year has been from the lockout to the injuries, lackluster start and terrible QB play it just would have been something to see this team take the West in such a challenging season with such a tough schedule and all the cards stacked against us.

On the bright side Tim Teabowl and the Browncows lost to the Bills and Lumberjack Fitzpatrick. An they will lose next week fulfilling my (non-Chiefsplanet related but work related bet) that the Donkies will finish no better than 8-8 this year and miss the playoffs. Yes I know it means that either the Faiders or Sandy Eggo make the playoffs but that is nothing compared to the weeping that Denver fans will go through when they realize that "God" doesn't answer Teabowls phone calls.

I think that's what hurts the most in all this.
San Diego winning the division? Fine, whatever...there are like...4 fans that give a shit. Oakland or Denver? Shoot me now.

Well, we may as well shoot you a week early. San Diego was also eliminated from any possibility of winning the division with their loss. It's only between Denver and Oakland.

Yup, Denver could lose to KC next week and if the Chargers beat the Raiders Denver would be the AFC west champs.
