Did anyone watch SciFi channel's "Sanctuary"?
I DVRed the 2 hour pilot episode and have watched about 2/3 of it. So far I have found it silly and disappointing. Ironically English born Amanda Tapping's English accent sounds very fake and distracting. What's your take?

That about sums it up for me as well. I'll still watch it, I'm sure, but mostly to see who pops up in it.

I caught it earlier this year when it was web-only. The first few episodes were available on Youtube, and then there were others - I want to say a total of eight episodes, but it was really only about 4 or 5 one hour shows in total. I think Amanda Tapping has an interesting idea, but it was in serious need of more money and better writing to succeed.

Damn. That sucks. The Sci-Fi Channel's always seemed to come up with decent series, and really, really shitty movies.

I'm about halfway through season 3 of Farscape, and I love it.

Did anyone keep watching this for a while? I've seen the first 6 episodes or so and I have to agree with Frankie's original assessment so far. Does it get any better?

It got better, but was never great. But it was decent enough that I was a little disappointed to hear it was cancelled after last year.

I'd rather just watch Colm Meaney in Hell on Wheels to get my new sci fi TV fix these days.

I know that's not a sci fi show, but it will have to do. It's pretty damn good. Made by AMC, which seems to be incapable of turning out a terrible show. This one's no different.

I actually might like it better than Breaking Bad, but I'm weird like that, and enjoy drier stuff sometimes.

SyFy is apparently going to make an effort to have some actual Science Fiction shows in the future (go figure!) so hopefully you'll have more than Thomas Durant to look forward to in the not too distant future.
