I was looking at my AFL football cards and was reminded that I owned no Warren McVea card, how can this be?
Whiskey and a Big Blue mix my thing now, drugs are boring. MUST have a cool looking glass to drink from, which I have, very nice. Four ice cubes and ya drink from a straw. Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 03-02-2020 at 01:00 AM.. |

Bummer there is no card for the great Mack "The Truck" Lee Hill
I do own one of these.... Over a 1000 yards as a rookie. At NWLa he ran on an NCAA winning 4x1 team, on anchor Mark Duper. (NFLer to be Victor Oatis also on the team, yep....three footballers) Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 03-02-2020 at 12:16 AM.. |

Then we had.....
Stone Edward Johnson (April 26, 1940 — September 8, 1963) was an Olympic sprinter and American football kick returner and running back for the Kansas City Chiefs. On August 30, 1963, the rookie Johnson, a 200 meter track finalist in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, suffered a fractured vertebra in his neck in a preseason game against the Houston Oilers in Wichita, Kansas during a kickoff return. He died 10 days later, on September 8 at the age of 23.[1] Although he was only on the team's active roster during preseason, his jersey number 33 was retired. He was a world record holder in the 200m, out of Grambling. His 9.3 100 makes him one of the fastest RBs of all time. |

I need this...
Like so many Chiefs he was out of an HBCU school, Tennessee State. One of the totally forgotten stories is that of Ken Thomas. He was one of the fastest players in college football while at SJS where he played cornerback. A 10.0 flat cat. His older bro was Rams RB Jewerl Thomas they were out of nearby Hanford (saw both play many times). The Chiefs bring in Ken and make a RB out of him, well....he banged up a knee and that was that, career over! Thomas at the Cali State meet 1 Michael Sanford Pasadena S 09.85 100Y 1978 w-.3 2 Ken Thomas Hanford C 09.93 100Y 1978 w-.3 3 Virgil Torrence Gardena LA 09.96 100Y 1978 w-.3 4 Dokie Williams El Camino SD 10.01 100Y 1978 w-.3 5 Wendle McNeal Oakland O 10.03 100Y 1978 w-.3 6 Wallace Bernard Galileo SF 10.06 100Y 1978 w-.3 Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 03-01-2020 at 11:00 PM.. |

Do you really think you have to make statements about Joe Delaney to people on this board, as if they wouldn't know who TF you are talking about? Generally, I just read your posts and assume you are actively trying to troll people, or purposely being obtuse, but for some reason this post just pisses me off. It's like next you will make a post informing us that Willie Lanier was the first black middle linebacker, and then try and explain why that fact is culturally significant. Dude, do something besides hump legs, ok? Don't you tire of following others around?
The story I wanted to tell needed more than one post, I assumed that obvious. Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 03-02-2020 at 05:26 AM.. |

I think I might have a Mack Lee Hill card. I have old afl cards before they put the players photos on them. Just their stats on the back. My favorite chief was Stephone Paige. His 309 yard game against the cHargers was EPIC! undrafted out of Fresno State
