What Musical Instrument(s) Do You Hate?

And by that, I mean that you will turn the song or piece of music off if you hear it, or think about sticking an ice pick into both ear drums.

The instruments Tool plays in studio and in concert.

Seriously though, not one single musical instrument turns me off, even the voice. It's music and it takes talent, determination, and a certain mindset to play an instrument or sing. I respect that very much.

as a kid my cousin was forced into violin lessons at home, and I often had to be there for it... brutal is almost too kind a word to use

As to the op, none of them... in the right hands they’re all beautiful

Good saxophone is really good but bad saxophone is really bad. The only instrument with more variance between good and bad is the violin.

While it's more about subject than sound, I have a friend whose wife is an opera singer, and I can't imagine the hell that is his home life right now. You know that she's got to be practicing a lot. She's got a great voice, but ... man ... that soprano opera sound is murderous.

Oh, and Chopin. Although he wasn't an musical instrument.

I've never heard anything in the hands of talent that I thought sucked.

Seen a one string guitar that sounded great.
