Seriously though, not one single musical instrument turns me off, even the voice. It's music and it takes talent, determination, and a certain mindset to play an instrument or sing. I respect that very much. Last edited by eDave; 04-10-2020 at 04:20 PM.. |

I hate the xylophone. And the trombone. And the saxophone.

Good saxophone is really good but bad saxophone is really bad. The only instrument with more variance between good and bad is the violin.
While it's more about subject than sound, I have a friend whose wife is an opera singer, and I can't imagine the hell that is his home life right now. You know that she's got to be practicing a lot. She's got a great voice, but ... man ... that soprano opera sound is murderous.

Oh, and Chopin. Although he wasn't an musical instrument.

I've never heard anything in the hands of talent that I thought sucked.
Seen a one string guitar that sounded great. |
