I know it feels like a waste of a down. But the reality is they have to run the ball just to show the defense they will. Gotta keep them honest.

Yep, that 5 yard run on 1st down set up the 44 yd TD pass to Reek on the next play. You get that Safety cheating up just a bit to help stop a potential run on 2nd & 5, and Hill blows right by that coverage.

I think he’s here just in case if injury.

If CEH went down for some reason, we’d roll with Bell.

I thought everyone was on board with this. We’re just giving him snaps so he’s comfortable in case he has to go 100%. Reid won’t ever stop using him until the last snap of the super bowl.

They wanted to limit CEH's snaps. Not that complicated.

I don't really get this. Bell was a valuable part of our offense today. He was better for us when we needed to spread things out. We went with CEH when we started trying to control the lead. They both contributed.

The Chiefs have become the Lakers dynasty of the early 2000's with Shaq and Kobe.

They can pretty much win every single game but it's difficult to stay laser focused when the competition isn't playing at a similarly high level.

Then the playoffs begin and they steamroll to the title.

For me, it's taken away a lot of the fun of the regular season because they can just turn it on or off, depending on the situation and win. I mean, I haven't been concerned about a loss pretty much this entire season, even after they allowed the Raiders to beat them.

And then you look around the league at the other supposed "great teams" and they're a joke. Green Bay looks like the only real competition but if the Chiefs don't absolutely shred their defense, I would be shocked.

They're in a class of their own but if you don't watch the other 15 games every week, you probably won't know it.

Yeah, I originally was going to respond with a pre-Mahomes kind of ranting thing about my previous jadedness, but I'm sure you're well aware...

It's now like watching Kansas basketball.... they'll get good and even great efforts from teams. Sometimes they won't show up and will lose a very winnable game, other times you just have to tip your cap to an unbelievable performance from an opponent.

And then maybe once or twice per regular season, you'll watch them against a team that's a real contender.

Like you basically said, they're no longer a regular season team... and the NFL can barely fill the two championship games with legit contenders on any given season, so you're lucky to see one or two such match ups before late January (or right, no pre-Mahomes ranting ).

And this is supposed to be an 11-1 vs 9-3 match up on my TV... oy.
