Chiefs vs Oilers Playoff Game 28 Years Ago Today.
One of the most memorable playoff games in Chiefs history took place 28 years ago today. Joe Cool, after getting picked twice and rammed into the concrete of the Astrodome, put this team on his back and got us the victory.
The defense, had an incredible effort, getting 9 sacks on Warren Moon and took the ball away 3 times. Keith Cash, after catching a short TD to put the Chiefs on the board, did the right thing: He then smashed the ball into the face of a Buddy Ryan poster hanging in the end zone. God, what a great game that was. https://youtu.be/rX4bUjdoh0M |

I was 17. And my favorite player when I was a kid was Warren Moon. The Chiefs were my team, but Moon was my guy. It was this game that determined I was a Chiefs fan.

It’s not letting me embed the Tweet, but if you click on, it’s the Keith Cash “moment”. So awesome…

I love the monstrous shoulder pads back in the 90's. Just excessively huge.

Buddy Ryan! He was one of the leagues better personalities.

People forget that Houston smoked KC earlier that year 30-0, and was on an 11 game winning streak going into the playoffs.

I was six years old living in Harrisonville. Still remember it like yesterday because my parents were screaming and losing their minds and I was hiding behind the couch not knowing what the F was going on.
