Life Mini Bikes

Anyone here into Mini Bikes? Building a couple for the fam. Vintage Scat Cats from the 70's. But with newer motors. Any tips are appreciated

I ran into a tree headon when I was in my early teens driving a neighbors Chibi minibike at about 40 mph. I was knocked unconscious for a few minutes. The throttle stuck wide open and I didn't know how to drop the bike. I missed hitting a broken pine branch by inches or I would have been seriously ****ed up or maybe even dead.

It scared me forever and I won't get on motorcycles.

Then later in life in my early 20's I went out ATV riding in heavy snow with two friends from work. As I tried climbing a step hill following both of my buddies who were ahead of me, I flipped the ATV backwards on top of me as I didn't lean forward enough to balance the weight.

After 2 attempts to ride a motorcycle and ATV and 2 complete failures, I figured it was best for me to quit.

Mini bikes are great memories for me. When I was a kid we had Skat Cats and homemade units.
When my kids were 10-12 we found a Yamaha Chappy on the curb, like as in someone’s trash. We put a spark plug and new gas in it and it fired right up.
My kids absolutely destroyed that thing having fun and it currently resides in a pretty crappy outbuilding that takes on water.
I should probably address that….oh well, anyway

Got a friend who has bought a couple of these. They bring crazy money.

Bring a Trailer is a great site to waste time on. It gives me heartburn when I read what some of the cars I have had are selling for today.
