Nick Wright on how PM has changed KC

I get all of his references except the

"better than a bye" and "the pass heard round the world" What is he referring to?

Wasp, maybe?

I think he said playing the Steelers was better than a bye week.. vaguely remember something like that, where he was rationalizing playing that game.

I like that Mahomes is actually invested in KC. He's part owner of Sporting KC and I think he's invested in the women's soccer club as well with his wife. And I don't think it's some like cynical attempt to make money either. He actually gives a shit about the city and the people that live here.

Genuinely could not ask for a better situation as a fan.

I think that pass heard round the world might have been a long bomb in his first start maybe?

Think it was the pass that he threw while horizontal to the ground in the SB against Tampa?

it is funny that a bunch of Chiefs obsessives can't figure out what insane league changing pass is being referred to because there's so many

lol its no wonder the rest of the NFL hates us, just pure jealousy

Nick Wright on how PM has changed KC

The pass heard around the world is when we were struggling in 2021 and Mahomes made a vintage Mahomes play that Wright said the next day would signal the end of Mahomes’ struggles which seemed to prove accurate. He was calling it pass heard around the world the very next day after the game.

I’m 99% sure it was against the Packers and the pass he is talking about is 3rd and 10 late in the game to basically seal the game. 11:25 mark in this video. If Mahomes doesn’t make this play the Packers get the ball back with a chance to win.

Ah, makes sense... listened to it again after what DC said, so thinking it's chronological and something between Wasp and the Steelers playoff game. Only other thought was the go ahead TD after Wasp in that SB.
