Can Adeyomiwa Adeboware play DE too? He’s athletic enough and he has the arm length.

Tuli Tuipulotu, USC
I like him but I've seen him compared to Karlaftis. How true is that? |

I'm not sure, but I do know he was moved all over the defense at USC throughout the year. DE, DT, OLB, and even ILB so I think he's a little more versatile than Karlaftis.

I’ll answer my own question on Adeboware. He’s played on the edge a lot. He’s tough, physical and violent and plays through double teams and to the whistle, often chasing plays downfield. He’s built really thick all over at 280 lbs but his lower half is really powerful with a big butt and thick legs to bull rush or anchor. I’d love him as an edge prospect in spags system. He is short but he can anchor the edge and also has upside with his athleticism to become a better pass rusher with his speed. He’s at his best on stunts where he can just fly and use his speed without having to read or diagnose. 6’2” 282 lbs 33 7/8” arms 4.49 40 (crazy fast) 1.61 ten yard split 37” vert 10’5” broad This guys a freak. And he plays hard. And he has some interesting fits with being able to slide inside on passing downs. I’d love to pick him in the 2nd, crazy talent and effort player that’s learning. |

Just lunatic measurables and shows occasional flashes of being an absolute superstar.
But ultimately that's just what you're looking at in the late 1st - someone that doesn't have much ceiling (GK) or someone that needs to be coached up to iron out flaws in his game. You can target a range of a 6-7 or someone with a range of a 4-9. White is the latter. He may suck - but he has star tools that a lot of the folks taken at that point in the draft simply don't have.

He's right about Van Ness imo. Feels like there's a correction happening after all the (mad) top 20 talk. I just don't get that guy.

Also glad that Karl Brooks has once again fallen off people's radar for the opposite reason, would love to get him in the 4th or 5th. Won't make an impact early but there's a lot to work with.

I've been listening to various podcasts and I am getting more and more certain the Chiefs don't take a DE in the 1st round, and maybe not even in the 2nd.
The Chiefs probably consider themselves to have starting DEs locked up for the next 2 years in Karlaftis and Omenihu, I can't see them taking a DE in the 1st round that they don't see a path to "starter" for until 3 years time, and I don't think the talent is right at the back end of the round either for what the Chiefs would want. I see DE as more of a 3rd or 4th round, rotational guy who can develop situation. |
