They shouldn't be used in the same sentence, competitive and slow pitch softball. It's a rec sport. If it's a True restricted flight league, maybe, but bombs away 29-26 games are who can hit a lob ball over the fence the most...

It's a bunch of fun. Do coed. The all men's leagues are way too serious. A fairly athletic guy with a decent swing, coupled with the new bat technology .. you can hit bombs. It's awesome. Plus there's beer. Did I mention there's beer? And girls..

I played on a traveling fast pitch softball team for two seasons. It was a lot of fun.

I played quite a few years of highly competitive softball. I’m talking sponsorships, uniforms, bags, and bats all paid for. Weekly leagues and tournaments every weekend. Lots and lots of home runs. When I stopped wanting to dive and slide, I knew it was time to hang it up. Now I golf. Lol
