Our depth is trash at all positions across the board next season. We've got a big hill to climb.

Mahomes is the engine. Gotta protect him, and gotta have guys who can make plays.

Probably see some sacrifices made defensively if Veach tries to revamp like he did after the Bucs SB loss.

It's tough to see the best qb on earth absolutely destroyed because there's no protection.

Some of that protection could've come from Andy, by calling the ****ing run, but Andy is what he is. He's a guy that likes to pass every down, even when his QB is being annihilated.

It's pretty inexcusable from the alleged best playcaller in nfl history.

So it's going to require studs up front that can accommodate Andy's one dimensional fap sessions.

It's why it's hard to get to 3 straight Super Bowls in the first place. You have to draft exceptionally well all the way down the line. Veach has done a great job but even missing on a guy like Kingsley hurt us this year.

We already did this two years ago. I repeat again, this was the highest paid line in football going into the season.

They have three Pro Bowlers on this line.

The better topic is "Reinvest in the O-line". Smith is gone. Taylor isn't deserving of that contract. They need a LT.

We've literally tried to do that.

We paid more than the 49ers for Silverdick. He turned us down.

We tried to pay out the ass for mediocre as **** OBJ. He turned us down and eventually took less money to play for Cincy, weirdly.

Short of pissing away an entire draft to go get some guy who might take a year or even more to be starter quality, what else do you want the Chiefs to do?

At least that one guy proposed firing Heck. I wouldn't do that, but it IS a card the Chiefs have on the table.

"JUST SPEND MONEY ON OL!!!" isn't one because the resources we've tried to spend money on haven't been available to us.

This team has 38 players signed next year and 11m cap space. How we going about doing all this? Gonna need a new LT - RG ( when smith leaves) this might be a long 2025 season but good in the long run.

Trade up and get a legitimate LT like you did at QB. Like you did at CB. Like you did at WR.

Your QB is your most valuable asset. Protect it.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Okay, but you know how rookie LTs go, man. They tend to suck balls in year one if they get significant time as a starter.

The only dependable option that would keep Mahomes upright is a free agent or a vet, and who knows what kind of guys are available. Cam Robinson is going to want a multi-year deal, and we're not in any kind of position to give him one if we trade up for a rookie.

And no, I don't think we should just roll the dice and gamble and hope he's the answer, but if there were a way to hedge a bet on Kingsley continuing to develop while having a reliable fallback option, I'd certainly take that.
