3+ Weeks of Getting Rested & Healthy

Looking at potentially 26 days before we play another game with the bulk of the starters... Pretty effing great, right? Getting Hollywood Brown back has been HUGE. Just in the couple of games, you can see how much his presence opens things up for everyone.

So we know Rashee Rice won't be back in time for the playoffs, good lord, can you imagine a healthy receiving corps of Rice, Brown, Worthy and Hopkins, oh and Kelce at TE? Unstoppable.

But who is next to come back that will help our rotation? I know Chris Jones will be fine. What's the word on Jaylen Watson? Humphries? Uche? Any others have a shot at being back? Or do we even want these guys back?

Jaylen Watson is the big one. Would be great to get him close to 100% if you can. Joshua Williams can be the opposite outside corner and McDuffie works from the slot.

Can't think of much outside of that. Hardman, I guess?

Just look at Hollywood’s injury on his 1st catch in the preseason. No need to play these guys at all.

I’d be somewhat conflicted in Mahomes’s first year as a starter.

These guys are pros though. They know the drill.

The rest is valuable. The injury risk is too much for a meaningless game.

it's a legit concern. There's been times where teams have rested their starters and they were out of synch in the playoffs. But this is a team where a lot of players have played an extra season over the past several years because of the playoff success. They'll be fine to get some needed rest.

I think the rest is invaluable to everyone, mentally and physically, this break is huge. Ain't no way Andy plays any of the premium starters next week against Denver.

But I wanna know who are we gonna see come back over the next few weeks. Watson? Humpheries? Any others? How is our roster gonna shake out heading into the playoffs?

Exactly. They've played essentially an extra season since 2018 compared to most other teams. Hell, ALL of the teams. You combine that with our bye week happening way back in week 6, and that means the starters get two weeks off.

The Chiefs know how to prepare and win because they've shown they know how to do it every season for seven years now. They need to rest and heal until the divisional round.
