We have another heat without (known) murderers. Where our murderers be at?

Oh, well. We still have some dishonorable people to vote for.

I have no idea what most of these people are in the poll for.

Merle Hapes seems to have disappeared from history after his scandal, but here's an article to learn a bit more about him.

Matt Millen was terrible at everything he did involving the game of football.

Why is Dick "Night Train" Lane on here? Is he being blamed for the death of Dinah Washington?

In no particular order, my votes are:

Terrell Owens - great player on the field, but always treated his teammates terribly. Minor villainy there, but a villain nonetheless.

Merle Hapes - When I read the evidence, I come away convinced that he took money for throwing an NFL championship game. It's going to be hard to not vote him into the inaugural class of the Hall of Infamy.

Darrell Russell - Okay, they dropped the charges of him being involved in the gang rape of a drugged woman. But given his multiple failed drug tests and eventual death in a high-speed car wreck, do we really think he wasn't involved? (And wow - I had no idea that the car in his wreck was actually owned by former Chiefs Larry Parker. He'd loaned it to Russell and the car driver.)

Jim Irsay - I have no patience for rich trust fund babies who screw up their lives and then blame their problems on others.

George Foster - I still remember the video and outrage of him diving at an opponent's knee from the back and breaking his leg. Everyone in America thinks that George Foster is a cowardly cheap-shotter.

Howie Long - He's the worst kind of villain. He cheap-shots people and then tries to act like he's above doing it. And then he wears glasses on the pre-game show to try to convince people that he's thoughtful. He's a terrible person in every respect.

Matt Millen - I think Millen could go all the way in this tournament. He's dumb as a rock and is actually proud that he was a cheating cheap-shotter. Nice GM work in Detroit, you dumbf***.

Joe Don Looney - He's a minor villain, but he was a very talented guy who was so committed to being a jerk that he ruined his own career. What a waste of an opportunity.

I added him due to his propensity to clothesline ball carriers. I recognize that it was legal then so one might defend him on that account, but it was still a pretty low-class thing to do.

Interestingly, Wikipedia says that Lane's tackling was the reason for banning both clothesline tackles and grabbing the face mask.

I went with TO, Art Modell, Scott Norwood and Damnit Carl .

Don't really know the controversy with the rest of them I guess.

One of my enduring memories of Matt Millen was him running full-tilt into the backfield on a passing play against the Chiefs, ignoring the quarterback, and trying to injure a young Joe Delaney. He knocked Delaney out of the game on a very intentional cheap shot. Screw Matt Millen. He's in the worst five all-time among dirty players.
