The following trades have effected the draft order:

Corey Williams to Cleveland for a R2 pick.

Shaun Rogers to Cleveland for a R3 pick.

Kris Jenkins to the Jets for a R3 pick.

Marcus Stroud to the Bills for a R3 pick.

Redskins to Broncos. The Washington Redskins traded their fourth-round selection in 2008, and their third-round selection in 2007 (used to select Ryan Harris) to the Denver Broncos as part of a three-team trade in which Washington received T.J. Duckett and Atlanta received Ashley Lelie. (This was the result of a formula which could have had Denver and Washington swapping 2007 first-round selections.)

Saints to Jets. The Saints traded their fourth-round selection in 2008 to the Jets, for Jonathan Vilma.

Jets to Panthers. The New York Jets traded their third-round and fifth-round selections to the Carolina Panthers in a deal that sent Kris Jenkins to New York.

Dolphins to Chiefs. Miami (conditionally) traded its fifth-round selection in 2008 to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Trent Green. The selection would have become a fourth-round selection if Green had met certain performance criteria.

Bears to Bills. Chicago (conditionally) traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Buffalo in exchange for Darwin Walker. The round of the selection may change, depending on Walker's playing time.

Panthers to Bears. The Carolina Panthers traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Chicago in exchange for Chris Harris.

Raiders to Broncos. Oakland (conditionally) traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Denver in exchange for Gerard Warren.

Bills to Jaguars The Buffalo Bills traded a 3rd and 5th round selection to the Jacksonville Jaguars in return for DT Marcus Stroud.

Seahawks to Browns. The Seattle Seahawks traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Cleveland in exchange for Charlie Frye.[24]

Packers to Giants. The Green Bay Packers traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the New York Giants in exchange for running back Ryan Grant.

Broncos to Rams. Denver traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the St. Louis Rams for defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy.[26] The trade occurred after the Broncos had tried to trade the same pick to Miami for defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson; that trade was voided.

Browns to Eagles. Cleveland traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for center Hank Fraley. The trade was conditional on games started by Fraley, and could have fallen to a seventh-round pick, but Fraley started all 16 games.

Cowboys/Dolphins swap. The teams swapped their sixth-round selections in a trade involving Jason Ferguson.

Jaguars to Vikings. Jacksonville traded their sixth-round selection for Troy Williamson.

Texans to Broncos. Houston traded their sixth-round pick for Chris Myers.

Steelers to Falcons. The Pittsburgh Steelers traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Atlanta for kick/punt returner Allen Rossum.

Seahawks to Eagles. Seattle traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for fullback Josh Parry.

Eagles to Bills. Philadelphia traded their seventh-round selection in 2008, and defensive tackle Darwin Walker, to Buffalo for linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb.

Rams to Vikings. St. Louis traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Minnesota for offensive tackle Adam Goldberg.

Giants to Chiefs. The New York Giants traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Kansas City for kicker Lawrence Tynes.

Vikings to Jets. Minnesota traded their seventh-round pick in 2008 to the Jets in exchange for Brooks Bollinger.

Bengals to Rams. Cincinnati traded their seventh-round pick in 2008 to St. Louis in exchange for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Miami Dolphins - A- (Hamas Jenkins)

This looks primarily like a typical Bill Parcells Draft. Whether you agree with Hamas Jenkins or disagree with him, he did a mostly great job posing as the Hall of Fame coach-turned-GM of this awful franchise. The Dolphins addressed one need above the others, and that's at the heart of their sorry defense: linebackers. Gholston and Avril are two characters who can get to the QB and get there fast.

Goff was a great value pick to replace Thomas in the middle, with Nicks being one of the prime candidates this year to turn into a primetime LT. Kellen Davis was a strong pick to provide a solid safety net for emerging QB John Beck. Hamas also took a couple gambles as well -- like it or not, DeCoud was a reach, and Parmele would have most likely been available in UDFA. All in all, this was a strong start for a rebuilding process.

A lot of this Draft is for naught; it does seem the Vikings will surrender at least two of these picks for Jared Allen. With this quality of Drafting you can sort of see why the Chiefs might want to take advantage of that. Philip Merling and Derrick Harvey were available in the 1st, and both would be solid picks. Marcus Harrison sitting around in the third would be fine value to add depth to their DL. The Vikings' first day, including the pure-value acquisition of Andre Woodson, a potential franchise QB, was very impressive.

In their second day, they opt for projects (Kerry Brown, Brian Johnston) and even they admitted they were emphasizing pure measurables at one point, opting for workout warriors such as Tyvon Branch and Arman Shields, two players whose on-the-field abilities I did not warrant as good value. The Vikes' second day seems almost too cute, but if it works out they deserve credit for it. Their first day was solid enough for them to try it out.

Well you have 700 young pounds on the right side of the line, and that's a vast improvement over the 600 old-ass pounds we had with Welbourne and Turley/Terry. I'm not saying Kieth translates well to the NFL, that has yet to be seen, and I'm not sold on the idea that Richardson can get his ass in gear, but Taylor himself is an improvement at RG or RT, and either of those players have a shot at grading out at the other position.

Niswanger is definitely an upgrade in the Herm Edwards scheme over Wiegmann, but that's a conversation we've already had.

The left side is stopgap. Waters has maybe two years left, and McIntosh can man down LT for another year while we compete for Michael Oher in 2009.

I'd say it's an upgrade. Not because I have loads of faith in Taylor/Kieth/Richardson to become a solid unit on the right side, but simply because we're replacing one of the worst right sides in NFL history.

My feud with the man of milk continues. Of course I feel like the drafting of two guards with the first two picks (there is zero evidence that Albert could convert comfortably to tackle) was ludacris. But waiting until the 5th round to improve the WR corps for their franchise QB, and drafting two CBs would be acceptable except than only one of them were worth the value of where they were picked (Godfrey). And I don't like Chauncey Washingon -- there are RBs still available now that I'd prefer.

Fortunately, the Steelers didn't have that many holes to begin with. And I do like Burton and Godfrey as value picks -- the rest I thought were reaches and I don't know how much better off the Steelers are after this Draft than they were before it.

Whether you agree with Hamas Jenkins or disagree with him, he did a mostly great job posing as the Hall of Fame coach-turned-GM of this awful franchise. The Dolphins addressed one need above the others, and that's at the heart of their sorry defense: linebackers. Gholston and Avril are two characters who can get to the QB and get there fast. Goff was a great value pick to replace Thomas in the middle, with Nicks being one of the prime candidates this year to turn into a primetime LT. Kellen Davis was a strong pick to provide a solid safety net for emerging QB John Beck. Hamas also took a couple gambles as well -- like it or not, DeCoud was a reach, and Parmele would have most likely been available in UDFA. All in all, this was a strong start for a rebuilding process. Minnesota Vikings - B+ (Zeke Ziggle/Hamas Jenkins) 1. DE Philip Merling 2. TE John Carlson 3. QB Andre Woodson 3. DT Marcus Harrison 4. DB Tyvon Branch 5. OG Kerry Brown 6. DE Brian Johnston 6. OT King Dunlap 7. WR Arman Shields A lot of this Draft is for naught; it does seem the Vikings will surrender at least two of these picks for Jared Allen. With this quality of Drafting you can sort of see why the Chiefs might want to take advantage of that. Philip Merling and Derrick Harvey were available in the 1st, and both would be solid picks. Marcus Harrison sitting around in the third would be fine value to add depth to their DL. The Vikings' first day, including the pure-value acquisition of Andre Woodson, a potential franchise QB, was very impressive. In their second day, they opt for projects (Kerry Brown, Brian Johnston) and even they admitted they were emphasizing pure measurables at one point, opting for workout warriors such as Tyvon Branch and Arman Shields, two players whose on-the-field abilities I did not warrant as good value. The Vikes' second day seems almost too cute, but if it works out they deserve credit for it. Their first day was solid enough for them to try it out.
