If you want me to be honest here.....the first 3 picks I'm taking who I think the best players are period. I have a bunch of guys targeted for the 3rd round..one of which is a tight end who I think will be a stud in the NFL...
There are so many OT's and CB's if you know what you are doing I guarantee you can take a starting CB and OT in the 4h and 5th rounds...if we did more rounds I'd show it. |

With the 36th pick in 2008 NFL draft, the NY Jets select Devin Thomas, WR- MICH. St.. 6-2, 215 lbs., at least 4.4 speed.
Critic welcome. |

The Falcons are going with...
Patrick Lee - CB Auburn I was real close to taking Reggie Smith though. OT would have been the easy pick if Baker or Nicks had made it to me. |

I don't know, but if so, I REALLY want to move down in this round. I can't justify taking the player I want here, and after going CB in the 1st round, I really need to address team need.

fuck it. The Baltimore Ravens select Joe Flacco, QB, Delaware They need an offensive tackle, but they're all gone. There is no one here I can take on the O-line, so I'll take the QB they need as well. Flacco could have probably been had after this, but I thought I could get Broehm at this point, so I won't take any chances.

I'm bored so I'm gonna complain about the Chiefs picks. Groves is a good pick with the way the draft fell with all the second tier tackles being off the board. So after the first two rounds we haven't addressed our biggest need. I think Ellis will be a fine player but passing on the best OT in the draft (who is ranked higher then Ellis)becomes a mistake when all the those other OTs are gone buy our second pick. At this point we better draft a couple of QBs late in the draft because we're gonna need'em so we'll have someone behind center at the end of the season. Well if we have a center. I guess we could always just punt on 1st down so our QB and RBs don't get killed. And don't try and tell me that a 3rd or 4th round OT is gonna solve the problem.

I didn't take a tackle first for a simple reason, I question every single one of these guys ability to play LT in the NFL, hell to me Chris Williams may have the best chance at LT of the guys this year.
The chiefs need playmakers in general, I feel with the first 2 picks I picked the best 2 playmakers available for the way the Chiefs want to play. This team needs a whole new Oline, you won't get that in 1 year and I'm not reaching on a LT when to me he's questionable. And I guarantee you this, if we did more rounds I'd show you how even with my first 2 picks this team would still add a new OT and a new OG that would likely start from day 1...you know this team does need a RT too. McIntosh can stop gap for another year.... And my 2 picks plus what we already have is the base of a great defense because it makes the front 4 dominant. They can get a rush without a blitz a key to a cover 2. The team would get better field position because that line would great a bunch of sacks and turnovers. Hey I'm just sayin trust on me on this, this is more than a 1 year process, I don't see the LT this year so I'm thinkin more RG and RT in the middle with the LT coming next year. |

Ya, cant agree with the Groves pick. I would definately flip out if we took him in the 2nd. A reach for a 250 pound LB/DE who is suited for a 3/4 Defense. I'm seeing him listed as the #40 player and the 4th best OLB with 2 higher ranked OLB's still on the board. This is however the pick I would expect the Chiefs to make here. No, you dont draft for need but you dont reach for an athlete at one of the 2 solid positions on the team when there are better players available at positions of need. Which unfortunately are many.

Groves isn't a LB......not in our defense anyway. He has a tweener type ability to do it some but he's a DE in our defense.
He's not a reach either, I'd honestly be shocked if Groves made it this far in the draft. He is a playmaker, I'd rather have that than a reach on a OT....people get all caught up in needs. You can never have to many pass rushers and so far I've given the Chiefs a awesome young talented Dline what the entire defense Herm is hell bent on playing relies on. |

It may not be as pathetic as some other positions, but I sure as hell wouldn't call it solid.
