I have a lot of confidence in your taste in CBs, it's your potential OT selection(s) that has me curious. By the way, I am almost completely confident I know which TE you're zeroing in on. I think Cottam is the best TE prospect in this Draft, even including your boy Davis or Rucker or anybody. He's a 3rd round sleeper and I believe he's going to make some team who jumps on him very happy. But I don't think that's who you're targeting. I think you've got Davis triangulated. I don't know if you'll give that information away but that's how I see it. |

Also Mel, I said before, I really don't like the WR's in this draft, I don't know if I'd take one at all compared to some of these other guys. And CB is deep with the Chiefs picking at the top of the 4th they can almost assuredly get a starter there. |

Groves may be alright, but in our D, He's a LB. He's considered a DE in the 3-4 because he's a tweener. He doesnt have a good anchor to maintain at the point of attack. Putting him on the line at 250 pounds is going to negate his quickness as soon as a 320 pound OT gets his hands on him. Good player. Doesnt fit.

Well I know that BPA is BPA, no matter what, but I do hope we avoid drafting TE with a higher pick this year. Primarily because any TE we draft is not contributing for at least two years as Tony takes the majority of the snaps. Plus Allan didn't look too bad in the preseason but it's conceivable that the coaches simply don't like him enough to give him any time...
If we go TE anywhere, I'd make it late late in the Draft. TE right now is a candy position to us, whereas we desperately need help at the meat & potatoes positions. |

Groves faced 300+ OTs his entire career at Auburn, and put up great numbers his entire time. He's very strong for a DE (he's 260, by the way), and has insane quickness that will plague any OT that doesn't have elite footwork. |

Rucker stole all his honors from the Big 12 but Bennett will be the better pro.

I think Bennett is a prototypical receiving TE, and I believe he's got remarkable hands and runs a good route, but he's got major holes in his blocking game that need to be addressed. I've only seen A&M play one game this year, and I was focused on Red Bryant the entire time. What I noticed of Bennett was his hands, but from what I've read we'd have to practically convert Tony G to blocking TE. I like Bennett's upside, though. |

TE in the 3rd if Bennet is there huh. I had decided that you would go defense again in the 3rd round to help complete the building of the D. Well unless there's an obvious stand out on the other side of the ball. So it's Bennet and then a most likely a CB in round four?
