The following trades have effected the draft order:

Corey Williams to Cleveland for a R2 pick.

Shaun Rogers to Cleveland for a R3 pick.

Kris Jenkins to the Jets for a R3 pick.

Marcus Stroud to the Bills for a R3 pick.

Redskins to Broncos. The Washington Redskins traded their fourth-round selection in 2008, and their third-round selection in 2007 (used to select Ryan Harris) to the Denver Broncos as part of a three-team trade in which Washington received T.J. Duckett and Atlanta received Ashley Lelie. (This was the result of a formula which could have had Denver and Washington swapping 2007 first-round selections.)

Saints to Jets. The Saints traded their fourth-round selection in 2008 to the Jets, for Jonathan Vilma.

Jets to Panthers. The New York Jets traded their third-round and fifth-round selections to the Carolina Panthers in a deal that sent Kris Jenkins to New York.

Dolphins to Chiefs. Miami (conditionally) traded its fifth-round selection in 2008 to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Trent Green. The selection would have become a fourth-round selection if Green had met certain performance criteria.

Bears to Bills. Chicago (conditionally) traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Buffalo in exchange for Darwin Walker. The round of the selection may change, depending on Walker's playing time.

Panthers to Bears. The Carolina Panthers traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Chicago in exchange for Chris Harris.

Raiders to Broncos. Oakland (conditionally) traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Denver in exchange for Gerard Warren.

Bills to Jaguars The Buffalo Bills traded a 3rd and 5th round selection to the Jacksonville Jaguars in return for DT Marcus Stroud.

Seahawks to Browns. The Seattle Seahawks traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Cleveland in exchange for Charlie Frye.[24]

Packers to Giants. The Green Bay Packers traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the New York Giants in exchange for running back Ryan Grant.

Broncos to Rams. Denver traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the St. Louis Rams for defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy.[26] The trade occurred after the Broncos had tried to trade the same pick to Miami for defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson; that trade was voided.

Browns to Eagles. Cleveland traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for center Hank Fraley. The trade was conditional on games started by Fraley, and could have fallen to a seventh-round pick, but Fraley started all 16 games.

Cowboys/Dolphins swap. The teams swapped their sixth-round selections in a trade involving Jason Ferguson.

Jaguars to Vikings. Jacksonville traded their sixth-round selection for Troy Williamson.

Texans to Broncos. Houston traded their sixth-round pick for Chris Myers.

Steelers to Falcons. The Pittsburgh Steelers traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Atlanta for kick/punt returner Allen Rossum.

Seahawks to Eagles. Seattle traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for fullback Josh Parry.

Eagles to Bills. Philadelphia traded their seventh-round selection in 2008, and defensive tackle Darwin Walker, to Buffalo for linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb.

Rams to Vikings. St. Louis traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Minnesota for offensive tackle Adam Goldberg.

Giants to Chiefs. The New York Giants traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Kansas City for kicker Lawrence Tynes.

Vikings to Jets. Minnesota traded their seventh-round pick in 2008 to the Jets in exchange for Brooks Bollinger.

Bengals to Rams. Cincinnati traded their seventh-round pick in 2008 to St. Louis in exchange for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

It's just really unrealistic, every single round there are OT's going that shouldn't be going till a round or 2 later. Or people with teams that have 0 reason to take a OT with it's first or 2nd pick taking them or more than 1 of them....

Not THAT many teams need OT's to take them that high, like I highly doubt the Superbowl contending Cowboys are going to sit their first round pick on their bench for 4 years while Flozell Adams plays.

I'm assuming it's because everyone is trying to go off of BPA....and they're rating OTs pretty high because they think that's our #1 need.

Mel Kiper would have summed up several of the drafting strategies displayed in this draft very simply...

They obviously have no idea what the draft is all about.

This is a god awful Guard draft there's 2 that deserve to go in the first 3 rounds yet 5 are gone already? Cmon......this is rather unrealistic now that I actually studied it.

If you go and look at Walters and DraftTek, the numbers of OT's, OG's, and OC's selected in the first three rounds, the numbers here are pretty much right on. Almost round for round. All three places total 11 OT's. There are 4 OG's at the other two sites vs 5 here. Draft Teck has 3 OC's, and 1 each for here and Walters.

All in all, I would say this place is doing pretty well.

I might agree with you if they had gone to teams would actually pick them......I still in no way see this many OT's going this fast or this high. If that many Guards and Centers go I hope teams enjoy their busts because the interior lineman this year aren't worthy of first 3 round picks other than 2 guys.

Thus far in the draft, the Patriots have gone OT and LB with their first 3 picks. In each of these picks, they drafted value picks, none based on need. This changes a bit.

With the 95th (and final pick for Marco Polo) in the 2008 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select CB Chevis Jackson, LSU. Jackson fills a void in the secondary and the Patriots do not have to reach too far. In one board, he is ranked as high as #76.

This was a cool draft. Let's do this again next year. Thanks everyone. Hopefully I represented the Pats well.

We should do some kind of consensus draft grading of the first three rounds by all of the teams.

If that many Guards and Centers go I hope teams enjoy their busts because the interior lineman this year aren't worthy of first 3 round picks other than 2 guys.

Marco Polo Veteran Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: 41°59.4′N 87°39.6'W Casino cash: $3938908	Thus far in the draft, the Patriots have gone OT and LB with their first 3 picks. In each of these picks, they drafted value picks, none based on need. This changes a bit. With the 95th (and final pick for Marco Polo) in the 2008 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select CB Chevis Jackson, LSU. Jackson fills a void in the secondary and the Patriots do not have to reach too far. In one board, he is ranked as high as #76. This was a cool draft. Let's do this again next year. Thanks everyone. Hopefully I represented the Pats well. We should do some kind of consensus draft grading of the first three rounds by all of the teams.
