I actually enjoy watching Palko play QB

I know I am going to be in the major minority, but the dude is far, far easier for me to watch than Cassel. His pocket presence, and movements within the pocket are not painful to watch. When he is on the move outside the pocket, I actually expect something positive to happen. And he can find receivers who are open down the field, not recievers who are blanketed damn near every single pass play.

Carry on.

Seriously though ... I'm with you, Mr. Coogs.

The line did Palko no favors today. Not only did they point him out to the defense, but they killed some drive deals with stupid penalties. We had 2nd and 3 at one point that wound up being 2nd and 13 that turned into a punt, for example.

Palko has mobility, learns from his mistakes, and does the moose ears better than any other quarterback in the league at this point.

I agree that it is easier to watch Palko play than Cassel. Cassel can't think under pressure, he panics. Obviously, Palko doesn't have the arm to be anything more than a backup, though. (Obviously, Cassel doesn't have the head to be anything more than a backup.)

The mere threat of Charles causes enemy defenses to question their manhood.

And he only got sacked twice. I fear Cassel would have went down as many times as the stiff playing for the Bears did today. In fact, I told my son that Henne's (sp) play at QB reminded me a whole bunch of watching Cassel. Painful!

Saying you like watching Palko play QB compared with Cassel is like saying you like looking at Rosanne naked versus Rosie O'Donnell.

What is the point?

I agree with coogs. Other than arm strength, which is likely a fatal long-term flaw, I think he may beat Cassel in every other facet of the game. I can see why the Chiefs have kept him on the roster.

I'll admit, though, that arm strength is a hard thing to teach. That's a problem.

When I watch Palko play, I cannot get my mind around how he was able to play at the college level. Seems like most guys I know with four working limbs should have been able to get a full-ride scholarship to Pitt if he did. I can't even comprehend how he played QB in high school. He is an unmitigated walking cluster**** of a disaster.
