Chiefs Rumor from Shanahan's son - Page 18

I talked to Kyle Shanahan last night, Mike's son. I ran into him at Cherry Creek Mall in the Oakley Store here in Denver. He said his dad is going to coach this year and most likely for the Chiefs. There is one other team out there that could land his Dad, but KC is closer to Denver and Shanahan would like to be as close to Colorado as possible. Anyway, take it for what it's worth.

I am in the know just as much as you are.

He has stated from the beginning that decisions are mutual decisions. Sure he is going to let his HC choose his Coordinators with strong input on who the HC chooses.

Kind of like how Herm chose Gun and Solari and was not told by Carl he had to keep them.

Again, I said the Head Coach will get say in who his coordinators are and then you said, not always, look at Dallas. What the **** does Dallas have to do with Pioli and the Chiefs? Answer not a damn thing. Having a say in the matter is not equivilent to having FINAL say. Why you are misconstruing that is beyond me.

I know many people within the Chiefs organization. In fact, I was told they were going to sign Pioli before the news broke and posted it here on the Planet, but I digress.
