Chiefs | Johnson probably will be shopped
Fri, 23 Jan 2009 13:33:58 -0800

Bill Williamson, of ESPN.com, reports the Kansas City Chiefs probably will peruse trade options for RB Larry Johnson this offseason. He would probably be released if the Chiefs can't find a trade partner.

But it looks more and more like he wants to be equal partners with Pioli if hired. He wants to be the new Belichick to Pioli. Frankly I would want Pioli to be the dominant power regarding personnel.

I would love to see Sanchez as a Chief. But only in a trade down.

Sanchez has only 16 starts on a loaded team which makes it alot easier to perform. Matt Ryan didn't have that in BC and still performed well. Doesn't that make Sanchez somewhat of a risky pick at 3?
Yes. Hence my hope for a trade down.

if pioli is able to get something real in trade for LJ then we know that the Chiefs were full of shit when they said there wasn't a market for him under Carl Peterson.

If a trade down decreases our chances, then no thanks.

This franchise has gone far too long without a franchise QB. The best prospect in years( Sanchez, so no retort with another prospect's name, thank you. )will be on the board; you take him with no if's, and's, or buts.

Sure they would. There's rumblings of a package deal for him, rivers, and gates for brodie croyle straight across.

Get real.

You know, it's very sad to see how people turn against a football player so quickly, even week to week. I remember not long ago when Chiefs Fans were so proud of LJ and saying he was the best back in the NFL, maybe even better than LT. He ran the ball with authority, pissed-off and angry. Many fans said "Stay Angry, LJ, Stay Angry"! Now it seems like we have forgotten what LJ did here. Yeah, he's not the greatest guy off the field, the media has portrayed a selfish, spoiled brat, sort of character. But, does anyone really know LJ personally? I don't. I met LJ both years he went to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. The first time was at the AFC practice. Brian Waters and LJ came out of the tunnel for a warm-up. I was in first row on the 25 yard line. Everyone there was wanting autographs with the players. I of course, had an LJ jersey on. He looked up into the stands when Brian Waters spotted me and pointed me out. LJ walked over and thanked me for supporting them. I asked him if he could sign my jersey and he said sure. He saw that I had a football in my hand and asked me if I wanted him to sign that too. I said yes and Thanks! I told him good luck and don't get hurt, he said thanks and went on to sign autographs for the other fans for atleast 10 more minutes.
This moment does not define LJ as a person. It is just an example of another side of LJ that the media does not talk about. I hope LJ has a heart to heart with Clark, Pioli and the new coach and decides to stay. He's not done, he probably feels the same way you or I feel as fans. Sick to our stomachs! LJ truly cares about this team and he truly cares about winning. If he didn't care, you would not see him angry on the sideline when he didn't get the ball, angry after games when they loose, telling the media he does not agree with some of the coaches decisions and beg and beg for the ball. Herm screwed up the offense after DV left and Herm did not decide to develop a system around LJ. Herm decided to make LJ fit into his system, which doesn't work most of the time. Sorry for the long response, but I just had to get this off my chest. Here's to LJ, #27 in 2009!
Seriously did he give you a hummer when you signed your ball? Christ, he basically demanded to be traded saying I'm sick of kc and kc is sick of me. Okay I guess that means he cares?

His actions bring more pain than his hits nowadays.

Define giving him away? What do you think he's worth? Hell nobody was interested last year and he sure didn't get any better.
