Attention Drummers, and other musicians.
A true drummer would know the ironic humor in this post title.
![]() Anyyy Wayyy. I'm surfing the web and I stumble across a petty accurate article of big drum kit's vs small ones. http://www.themusicedge.com/moxie/ge...drum-kit.shtml Both pro and con's were quite convincing in argument. So, I put it to you musicians of the Mighty Chiefs planetHello - commatard on the loose.(hint hint headsnap, Zepsinger) while your on stage rocking it up, the mix is just right, the monitors are perfect, the vocals are spot on. You know "That kind of night". Would you rather have a guy in the back sitting behind a small 4-5 peace kit, or a nice full 9 peace set of Pearls. NOTE!! I'm talking about pure looks and apparency for your stage only. Any pro will answer simply "as long as he can keep time and know the change ups, I could care less. Just make him tight in the pocket." Big or small. I myself just put on lay till tomorrow my new "Cranberry Wine" Yamaha Stage Custom 9 peace (double kick) kit last night when I picked it up off the show room floor "used" for half price as they were sent out accidently as rentals, and put in cases which somehow still got a few almost invisible scratches on the shell's, then at the last min got taken back to the store as they were NOT the rentals, thus deeming them used ![]() I was saving to buy the Yamaha Absoulte Maple Nouveau, but I'll take second place when I can save over 4 grand and get a 9 peice Double kick over a 7 any day. Poll forth coming. |

Congrats on the new trap set. Depends on what tunes you're playing, but I wouldn't want to lug a $hitload of equipment around. I have way too many cymbals, but I had to have 'em.
Don't forget the Bonzo tambourine for the hi-hat!

I went with large. Have you ever seen Neil Pearts drumkit? Seeing as he's the best of all time I'll trust he has a plan and knows what he is doing.

I think double bass kits looks cool, but a 15 piece kit is pretentious.
