The last play... Hail Mary?!?!

I know this has been talked about in other threads, and maybe this is a repost thread, but I really don't care.

I watched the game on a streaming site, and the quality of the stream sucked bawls. It was better than nothing, but not much. On the last play, the vidio froze up right after the snap, and then jumped to the point after the play was over. I didn't see a replay of that play 'til late last night on ESPN.

I know most of you were saying it was a "Hail Mary", but I thought you were just probably exaggerating a tad. Damn, was I ever wrong! And after 12 or 13 hours to digest that play, I am still just dumbfounded.

That may be the single worst play I have ever seen in the NFL. And I mean... EVER!

Hell, the play before we made 15 yards on an out pattern in 4 seconds. Another one of those would have put us at the 12 or so with 2 or 3 seconds still left on the clock. An incompletion on that same out would have left the same amount of time from the 26 at 2 or 3 seconds.

If that single play does not cause the players of the Chiefs, and/or the brass of the Chiefs to go WTF... then we are doomed.

Worst decision ever by a HC or OC. And for Cassel following such a stupid call, then I have to agree with whichever radio personality that said Cassel = Grbac.

That play was utter fugging FAIL!

I too was surprised that it was a lob ball. I think there was time for two passes into the end zone. Maybe with 7 seconds left the defense would just play zone on the goal line and render routes useless? Dunno.

I would have been less displeased with it if the hail mary pass had actually landed in the end zone. Throwing a hail mary pass out of the end zone doesn't seem very productive. It's more like a fail mary pass.

From the 26 yard line, anything that resembles a Hail Mary pass is just absurd. Even if it comes down in the endzone for an attempted catch. Hell, I would have rather they threw something to Charles at the 10 and let him try to run it in from there if they were just going to give up and heave it up like they did.

His "Hail Mary" hit the damn crossbar. From 26 yards out. Cassel's pass went higher in the air than the horizontal distance it traveled.

Fail. Fail. Fail.

What a shit way to end the game. Clown college.

There was someone wide open, and I do mean WIDE ASSED OPEN, to Cassel's left around the 10 yard line by the out of bounds marker. I was in the opposite endzone, so I couldn't make out who it was. But whoever it was, he was doing all he could to get Cassel's attention outside of shooting him with a paint ball. Anyone see who the receiver was?

I'm fairly sure it was Bowe, but it may have been Bradley, I know their # was 80-something. I was right on the 10-yard line and was yelling "HE'S OPEN!" at whoever it was. I was hoping Cassel would try to hit him on the post there and hopefully let the guy run into the end zone, at least give the WR a chance to catch the damn thing.....

One of my co-workers was at the game and he told me about the same thing this morning. He said it was Chambers, COMPLETELY UNCOVERED, at the 10 yard line.

7 seconds is normally considered 1 play, so going to the end zone is the right call. Throwing it into the cross bar on the other hand...
