Chiefs run defense

preseason, i get it. doesn't matter, i get it.

but i see what i see. our 1st two games the #1 defense was pushed around pretty easily. is it houston/hali/mauga/berry? all key guys obviously. but i see our DLine getting manhandled, and that's what concerns me right now.

the DLine is allegedly a strength of the team. talent wise, it looks like it should be. something i haven't seen discussed is the new DLine coaches for this year, and whether that is playing into this issue or not?

britt reid is leading the DLine coaches for the 1st year. i cant help but wonder if we have a gap in the coaching staff here that might account for some of the issues early this preseason.

Chris Jones, Nick Williams, and Nunez-Roches have all been playing well, so it's kinda hard to put that on little Reid.

Holy ****ing morons.

The established vets have played poorly, while the young developing players look good. With that said, hard to say that there is an issue with coaching on the DL, especially after just two ****ing preseason games.

If you'll recall earlier he said March was going to take Mauagas spot. Now Mauga is a savior of the defense.

Why are you guys so hard on Staylor? He, like myself and many others, predicted that March would seize the starting spot while Mauga was injured, But we all saw March fail to step up in the preseason games and now Stay;or, Dane, myself, and many others realize that Mauga isn't going anywhere because we don't have anyone better ready to take his spot. That is a far cry from him saying that Mauga is the savior of the defense, or that he is going to tear it up this season. If you don't like him, that's your business. But you and a few others are attacking him from every angle and it's getting ridiculous. This site has ran off a lot of good posters over the years. Staylor is a quality poster. No need to keep this up and run him off too.

Can't speak for anyone else but I'm just giving him shit.

But if you rail others for stating their opinion as often as he does and you're likely to get what you've been given.

He's tough enough to take it. He's not going anywhere because we're being mean to him.

Dane is usually wrong about everything so if he agrees with you then rethink your take.

The 3 previous seasons we have allowed 4.5 yards per carry, 4.7, and 4.1 in 2015 which puts us well in the bottom half of the league. Our pass defense is what has kept us dominant these last few years so this transition to life after Sean Smith could be a rough one for a few games. We have never been solid at stopping the run and tbh I think this falls on the linebackers
