I can't decide who I feel worse for: Jags fans who lose a home game every year or Londoners who are subjected to watching the Jags play every year.

Genuinely curious: do other countries normally sing their own national anthems before sporting events, or is that more of an American thing?

The only games that I have watched from across the pond they have played both anthems.

Ah, I know that they do in some tournaments that I have seen highlights up on ESPN. As far as a regular game

Only US and Canada really. Started as a patriotic gesture by MLB during WWI and kind of became a tradition.
