Be looking at the corners, folks.
We're losing Flowers and Sean Smith this offseason. Be looking at the corners. Fortunately this draft is really strong at corner towards the top. |

Waynes supposedly runs in the 4.3's, and has some length like Dorsey likes. I don't think we will go corner in the 1st though. I think Agholor is someone to watch since we missed out on a WR this year. He's got good size and should run in the low 4.4's, maybe even high a sub 4.4.

I want DGB, he'd easily be among the top 5 in pure football ability; I'd swing for the fences with him in the 2nd half of the first round and I expect Dorsey will too as long as DGB stays clean this season. I expect Cooper and Gaines to step into the starting roles with a 2nd round corner picked if either struggle this season/show little to no growth.

Dorsey drafts on measurables + speed + elite ceiling + strong senior/shrine games performance.
He is willing to overlook injury history and slight character concerns.

Yeah, I highly doubt that he'll pass on DGB if he's there for us unless DGB does something bad again this season. He's more willing to overlook character concerns than most other GMs that I've seen when it comes to drafting; as long as the player has elite measurables and weren't in trouble for anything too egregious, he seems willing to trust our FO and coaches with teaching the player and keeping the player in line.

I didn't necessarily say that I was hoping for him on the Chiefs, I was just stating that for a guy who's only played the offensive line position for two years after being a defensive tackle convert, he's incredibly impressive in terms of his skillset on the O-line.
Now, in actuality, the Chiefs just drafted the same guy in Tardif, so I would think that Erving would be irrelevant for the Chiefs future plans. However, Erving has much more accolades against higher level competition than the Canadian, but Reid and his offensive line coaches are very good so I expect good things from Tardif. By the end of the season, baring injury, Erving should be a top five pick. Now, if you want to know who I would like the Chiefs to draft in 2015, I'd be inclined towards Florida DE/OLB Dante Fowler. Personally, I think he's a much better player at the same stage as Dee Ford being much more instinctive and disruptive. Absolute animal on the field who knows how to go after the ball whether it's passrush or run defense. Who I think the Chiefs will draft is Stefon Diggs, WR; Maryland. Fits absolutely everything Dorsey looks for in a draft prospect - right down to the broken leg suffered last season. However, he's explosive and fast as shit and if he decides to declare, that's the guy Dorsey goes with. |
