The latest 'predict the Chiefs' record poll.

Well, we're a month away from camp... how's it looking?

It's a tough schedule, plus the D needs time to click. Besides, I don't want another one of the cursed 13-3 records.

Our playoff losses weren't the result of some 13-3 curse.
They were the result of flawed teams, or flawed coaching.

My guess would be 11-5.

My guess is 12-4, division champs, and 3rd seed for the playoffs...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

10-6, division champs (only team in the AFCW over .500), wildcard, first playoff win in...forever.

This is me tempering my enthusiasm. If they look great in the preseason, I'm sure I'll be all sorts of nuts.

11-5 and division champs. We will split our first 2-2 and win both of our first two home games. If we had our 2003 schedule we might go 13-3 again, but this year's schedule is too hard to honestly think our record will be that good.

Also, after the Raiders beat us in Oakland many a Raider fan will be printing playoff tickets. They will end the season no better then 8-8.

As long as it's not 13-3. 13-3 means the Chiefs only play one game in the playoffs.

10 - 6 is my vote. This is based on no Law and Warfield out for 4 games. If those change for the better I'd go with 12 - 4.

I went with 9-7.

1. I'm not sold on the DL. I also don't like reading how Hall will be competing with Allen for playing time. Allen was the lone bright spot rushing the QB in the last 4 years or so; I can't fathom why he'd have to split time with an ineffective pass rusher who weighs less and will be a bigger liabilty against the run.

2. I think it's a tough schedule.

3. A gut feeling Bell and Surtain will miss a few games here and there.

4. Signing DJ. I see some problems. The linebacker market will be difficult to set this year. You have Merriman represented by the Postons sitting a few spots below DJ. Then you have Dallas with Ware at 11. Some GM's complain Dallas overpays 1st round picks. After DJ you have Pollack, a former DE being moved to LB and then no other LB until round 2.
