Not even close IMO. First what makes a Nuke so devastating is the power confined to such a small package capable of releasing its destructive force in pretty mcuh the most efficient way possible. Remember a small Nuke is equal to 1 megaton of TNT that is 2,000,000,000,000 pounds of TNTl, that is right 2 trillion pounds of TNT.

"Little Boy" was the first A-Bomb we dropped. It exploded 1800' above Hiroshima. Most of the damage was caused by 900+ mph winds at the hypercenter. 7000° temperatures also took a toll. Radiation added to the misery. A total of 200,000 people killed. All this from a bomb the size of a propane tank 10' long and 28" wide that weighed 8900#. It was a uranium bomb.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren't megaton bombs , I think.

Think something like 150 kilotons. Seems close to how much explosives we set off today !

Little Boy was 13 kilotons (Uranium) Fat Man was 25 kilotons (Plutonium)

I am talking the average Nuke warhead at 1 megaton. The largest the US has exploded is

Largest U.S. explosion/date: 15 Megatons/March 1, 1954 ("Bravo")

That is 30 trillion pounds of TNT. By the way TNT is way more explosive than the explosives used in fireworks.

Well we finally got a break from the news agencies talking about pit bulls 24/7. The last few days has been all about the dangers of fireworks and needing to pass more legislation to get them off the street. BTW, the most injuries every year are caused by sparklers.

Yea, they are losing steam though that's why they wanted to get stuff passed as quickly as possible so people wouldn't dig up any facts.
