Is TrINT back?

I'm a big fan of Trent Green, but last night seemed kind of scary to me coming on the heels of last week's 4 turnover performance. Trent doesn't deserve the blame for his interception that bounced off of Kennison's shoulder (or for last week's fumble IMO), but he did throw 2 or 3 (or maybe even 4, I lost track) passes straight to Houston defenders and it is only by virtue of their inability to catch that we didn't have some really bad turnovers. Trent had good protection last night, so what's going on?

He's probably still nervous with all the hits he's been taking. Worried about people coming up behind him and knocking the ball out or just knocking the snot out of him.

Remember the old Dennis Hopper Nike commercials? "Can you hear the footsteps?"

I don't think he ever went away. He's simply been vulnerable lately due to "OL" injury. But, what do I know; I'm a Chiefs homer.

Some of those throw were bad. That being said, I agree with what one of the commentators said, "It's like the Texans are in the Chiefs huddle." They were jumping the routes and spying the routes like they knew exactly where the ball was going on some of those plays. Trent doesn't need to throw those, but Al's playcalling in the passing game has become a little predictable.

True, also, I have a hard time laying the pick at Green’s feet.

Trent was pretty shaky at times...I think all the hits have gotten to him.

But still, given time, he can pick most D's apart.

We need a QBOTF ASAP though...Green will be 36 next year.

I agree. Watching the game last night, I kept saying that he seems to lack confidence. Confidence in his oline, confidence in his receivers, confidence in his offensive coordinator's playcalling, and confidence in himself. I think it's more mental than anything. As the game went on and he gained confidence that he wasn't going to get creamed, his accuracy improved.

This is exactly what I thought. When Roaf was back in the lineup he seemed to gain confidence also and threw the ball better.
Hopefully we can stop the rush next week againt NE, but without Roaf, I'm not counting on it.

And there is the big question of the week: will Roaf start Sunday?

From here on, I say they have to take the risk and start him.

I agree an all counts. When I saw the graphic showing that Trent Green is the 3rd oldest starting QB in the league, it really got my attention.

Green's accuracy has been bad pretty much all year, it's not like this is something new. He's throwing at wide open guys and making them work to catch the ball. A lot of throws at their feet, over their heads, and behind them.

I don't really know what the problem is, I just know I wish he would figure it out.

Dont forget, Green doen't have the luxury of being able to audible out of a play. They run the play as it is called. That said, Green has been off on a few throws this year. I am not so concerned with his decisions, as much as I am his accuracy/timing so far this year.

He's been off.

Crazy-
That sounds crazy!!!
I am not certain there are any plays scripted for Trent to blindly throw to the opposition hoping that one of his own men are there. Not being able to audible doesn't mean you void your mind of what your eyes see and throw it anyway.
