Is there an alternitive to this Apple product?

When reading about Apple stuff I keep reading that people are fools for playing what they do for good marketing when they could get another product that does the same thing for much less...

Anyway I could get a hold of something like this?

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...lm=M9470LL%2FA

AirPort Express with AirTunes is an incredible wireless product that allows you to play iTunes music over your wireless network to your home stereo or powered speakers. It also allows you to share both a broadband Internet connection for up to 10 users and a USB printer1. If you already have wireless at home, powered by an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station, you can easily extend the range of your wireless network by connecting a second AirPort Express to it. AirPort Express has a small unique design made for life on the go. There are no separate power supplies or cables required, making it easy and convenient to take with you. AirPort Express is also designed to fully support both Mac and PC users.

You can play music off your computer if you have tivo, and it's connected to your home network, which could be wireless and could then play through your regular home entertainment rig. That's one possibility, admittedly not as clean of an implementation though.

Donts got da Tivo.

I just have sooo much music on the ol computer and its in the living room of my apartment. If I could be able to listen to all the stuff in my room as well itd be pretty sweet.

Without the hassle of burning CDs...

There have been a few streaming radio stations I have really gotten into thats piqued my intrest even more with this.

My brother has that product and absolutely raves about it. Of course, he's one of the biggest Mac geek fanboys I know. The funniest thing is that he lives here:

Bob Dole hasn't tried a g card in it... (Nor does Bob Dole have one to try in it at present.)

If Bob Dole was going to buy one now, he'd probably go with the new D2740 that has integrated g.
