Bengals LG Eric Steinbach arrested
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...v=st&type=lgns
Report: OL Steinbach latest Bengal to run into trouble August 8, 2006 CINCINNATI (Ticker) - Judas Priest once made a song entitled "Breaking The Law." The Cincinnati Bengals have become quite familiar with that tune. WCPO.com reported Monday that Bengals offensive lineman Eric Steinbach was arrested over the weekend. According to the report, Steinbach was charged with operating a boat while under the influence of alcohol and that he ignored a "No Wake Zone" area. The report also said Steinbach failed four out of five field sobriety tests. He will be arraigned Tuesday morning in Campbell County court. A left guard, Steinbach started all 16 games last season and was a first alternate to the Pro Bowl. Steinbach is the fifth Cincinnati player to be charged with breaking the law since the end of last season. Wide receiver Chris Henry has been arrested four times since December. He is set to stand trial later this month on a gun charge in Orlando, Florida. Draft picks Frostee Rucker and A.J. Nicholson had been arrested before signing - Rucker for spousal battery and Nicholson for burglary and grand theft. Matthias Askew was charged with resisting arrest last month. Police had to use a stun gun to subdue the 6-5, 302-pound defensive tackle. Middle linebacker Odell Thurman, a second-round pick last season, also is suspended for the first four regular-season games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. |

If you want to read some quality entertainment, and want some eggs for breakfast, read this.
http://boards.bengals.com/forums/ind...howtopic=22585 Some random poster "broke" the story on this Bengals board saying they knew about the arrest before it ever reached the media... and all the Bengals fans called that person a troll and made jokes, and ended up with egg all over their face. Pretty hilarious. |

Man, what bitter fans. Who can blame them though. Cincy needs a new nickname to coincide with their newly forged identity this offseason. Suggestions? |

Sorry, but BUI is as serious as a DUI. People are killed every year when some drunk boater slams into them. Plus, chances are if he was driving the boat while intoxicated once he got back to his car he was going to get in and operate a vehicle while under the influence. Maybe Warfield can be his mentor. I do wonder what the field sobriety tests are for a boater. Pretty difficult to balance and walk straight lines with a chop on the water.

This is going to progress until the United States is facing a literal bengal epidemic, with women, children and men of all kinds mauled to death.

Marvin Lewis and his staff sure do ignore the type of character of the players they choose to have on their team. Either that, or his scouting department blows. I think they are all responsible for it, not just the players that are committing these stupid infractions. The coaches and staff need to evaluate better, IMO.

Driving a boat while drunk is a pretty light offense IMO, but it's a law so what else can you say. Not exactly burglary or spousal abuse though.
