Draft is tomorrow and I need some advice.
I play in a keeper league and have to decide who my two keepers should be.
Starting positions: 1QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 Flex RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 Def. Scoring: 1 pt. for every 10 yards rushing/receiving, 1 pt. for every 25 yards passing, 6 pts. for each td, 2 pts. for 3pt conversion, 1 pt. for each reception These are the players that I can choose from (only two): Larry Johnson Peyton Manning Steven Jackson Lamont Jordan Cedric Benson Donald Driver Who would you choose? |

That is who I have selected so far but I'm having second thoughts about keeping Jackson or Jordan and picking up another QB later (Green, Bulger, Eli Manning).

I wasn't really considering Jordan, but when the league recently decided to add a point for each reception he jumped back onto my radar. Jordan had 70 receptions last year.

Another piece of advice,if this is a money league I'd do everything I could to get the draft moved to at least after the 3rd preseason game if not later.

I'm thinking that I can get Ronnie Brown with my first pick. That would give me Johnson, Brown, and Jackson/Jordan. I could get the best available QB and WR with my next 2-3 picks.

I don't think you can go wrong with either of your options, but I'd keep 2 RBs.
Manning is a step above other QBs, but the disparity between him and a QB like Delhomme, who can be had later in the draft, is much less than LJ and someone you'd find in the corresponding round. Just as an example, in a 12 team league, Delhomme's ADP is the bottom of the 6th round, where the RBs being picked are players like McAllister, Maroney, Brown, Gore, etc. |

I am keeping Johnson. The decision I need to make is between Jackson and Manning. Is the difference between Jackson and the next guy greater than the difference between Manning and the next QB.

Since you can start up to 4 RBs (if I'm reading correctly), having as many good RBs as possible is more beneficial than having the highest scoring QB.
I don't know the rest of the players available in your league, but since you said you think you'd be able to get Ronnie Brown...having LJ, Jackson, Brown and drafting a mid round QB (Brees, Delhomme) is more appealing to me than having Manning, LJ & choosing between guys like Jones, Dunn, Parker, etc. |

You are reading correctly. We can start 4 rb's if we want. What sounds better for the first three picks (Manning, LJ, Brown) or (LJ, Jackson, Brown) ? It could be possible that Jackson may fall to me if I keep Manning. I have the third pick and there are still several players available. Here's a list of players that I will have an option at: R. Brown, R. Moss, L. Fitzgerald (thinking about him seriously), J. Jones, K. Jones, Rudy Johnson, l. Jordan, C. Dillon, W. Parker, S. Moss.

It's a really tough choice but I think I would go with Jackson over Manning. Faulk and Jackson combined for about 90 catches last season (about 45 each). Without Faulk, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jackson with 60+. Of Course without Martz there, I don't know how much of their offensive philosophy has changed, but I don't think it will dramatically affect his catches
