Bowe getting some well deserved praise

Len Pasquarelli's game balls

Bowe
• Offense: First-round draft choice Dwayne Bowe was late to the Chiefs' training camp this summer, as documented by the "Hard Knocks" series on HBO, but the former LSU wide receiver certainly has made up for lost time in recent weeks. The 23rd player selected in the draft, Bowe is beginning to show signs that he can become the big-play outside threat the Kansas City offense has been lacking. He certainly punctuated that likelihood in Sunday's 30-16 victory over the slumping San Diego Chargers.

Bowe enjoyed a breakout game, with eight receptions for 164 yards and one touchdown. His scoring catch, a 51-yarder in the fourth quarter that gave the Chiefs a 23-16 lead, was his third touchdown in the past three games. Bowe had three receptions of 20 or more yards Sunday, and six of his catches resulted in first downs. After K.C.'s years of trying to develop a young wide receiver, it looks as though Bowe could become a go-to guy at the position.

I'm sure TG would love to see someone else get mugged on pass plays for once.

The funny thing is that on Bowe's TD, Bowe had someone all over him and the safety was reading Huard and going for Bowe... all while Gonzo was constructing a neon OPEN sign not 5 yards from Bowe to get Huard's attention. (the downside being Huard actually should have thrown to Gonzo but wasn't deterred by his openess.. but that's okay ).

Mmmmm... offensive options

I wish the Chiefs would put opposite of Bowe Scippio for once. Webb looks like a stick out there and having Parker in the slot would be a great addition to that group.

Hey now, Cross said that Webb did a great job keeping the one pass from being intercepted. To me it seemed as if Webb thought it was running play and was not expecting a pass anywhere near him at all. He looked almost as if he could have been called offensive pass interefence or holding on that play.
