LaDainian Tomlinson Helmet

Am I the only one that has noticed the LaDainian Tomlinson has a Darth Vader looking grill on his helmet? I've never seen one look like that before and I've yet to find a picture of the one he was wearing during the game. anyone got a pic of it?

I remember someone debating that it give him an unfair advantage as you could not see where his eyes were looking.

Too bad he doesn't go Ricky Williams and never take it off.

It's diesigned to keep defenders from grasping or shaking the face mask Designed from getting fingers inside the actually facemask and eyes so people can't get a good grip and get a good grasp all while not sacrificing weight or structual integrety of the helmet

I know that LT gets migrain headaches, and thus has a doctor's note for the black visor. I don't know what that facemask is all about though. You would think he would want to try and draw a 15 yard facemask penalty.

The grasping theory is...grasping, imo.

Any player is allowed to wear a clear shield, and the anti-grasping "benefits" are a possibility, but you have to have special medical clearance to get a tinted one.

Migraines sounds good enough for me.
