You have to applaud his conviction, no matter how misdirected it appears.

Empire Strikes Back? Droid (which became Avid and revolutionized movie editing forever)? Skywalker Sound? I.L.M? Pixar (which he created and sold to Steve Jobs for $10 million)? Or the Prequel Trilogy, which earned more than $2 billion worldwide in movie ticket sales alone? I guess it depends on your perspective. |

And I don't think you can credit him with Pixar. Unless you credit anyone who hires someone and they go off and form something on their own.... |

They made the right decision, in my opinion. Saucer Men From Mars sounds a lot like Saucer Men From Venus.

Saucer Men are from Mars. Saucer Women are from Venus.

Not to mention, Mr. Fax, the fact that the budget for such a production would be astronomical. The transportation costs alone to ship the "Martians" to the set would likely put the film over budget.

This is actually old news, believe it or not, that title was leaked back when they were trying to decide which one to use (there was a 3rd, I don't remember it). Fanboys have been bitching about the alien part of the film for a looooonng time now, saying science fiction doesn't belong in Indiana Jones.
(I apologize if the alien thing's a spoiler for anybody, but I think everybody here has seen the crystal skull which looks like a 'grey') |

Scifi in Indy is fine, just as long as he's not shaking hands with little green men.
