Sam Bradford seriously contemplating the NFL

I know some of us have been stating for a while now that Bradford would declare for the draft, contrary to what SOME would tell you. It's looking more and more like Bradford will put his name in the upcoming draft...

OU's Sam Bradford will consider NFL

NORMAN — Sam Bradford isn’t shutting the door on the NFL.

The Oklahoma quarterback plans to consider every bit of information available about his NFL Draft prospects before making a decision.

"It’s something me and my dad talked about — in order to make a decision, in order to make the best decision, you need as much information as possible,” Bradford said Tuesday afternoon. "So whether it’s to stay or to go, we’ll see.”

A redshirt sophomore, Bradford would forego two years of eligibility if he decides to leave early.

Having talked to his parents and his position coach, Bradford wants to weigh his options before making his decision.

Bradford’s father, Kent, and Sooner quarterback coach Josh Heupel will take the lead in gathering information from NFL types. They can talk to scouts, coaches, even general managers. Those evaluations will be crucial.

Underclassmen must declare for the draft by Jan. 15.

"It’s going to be a process,” Bradford said. "Even if I think I know what I want to do right now, there’s kind of a need to get as much information as possible so that looking back on this decision years down the road you don’t regret anything because you didn’t go after the information needed to make the right decision.”

No its not. He will not make a great NFL QB. He just won't. We already have a QB that does not play under center. If he were placed on a team with a good running game, and a great OL. Good recievers that always get seperation, then he'd be good.

I love how you can state your case with such authority, when the fact remains that no one knows if he will be a success.

The arrogance by posters on this board is comical sometimes. I should bump some threads from last year when 90% of the board said I was crazy for thinking Matt Ryan would be a great QB.

Everyone is arrogant and pimps their own players. Just like you've been pimping Curry for the last month.

Pimping players is fine - acting like you know a player will be a bust is stupid. Say you don't like him, but don't sit here and say dumb shit like he'll definitely be a horrible player.

I'm not surprised Ryan is playing well. I am surprised he is playing this well so soon.

He just won't? What kind of answer is that? It's a bullshit MYTH that Bradford plays strictly out of the shotgun. It's also a MYTH that he doesn't have size or arm strength. His accuracy is unparralled in the collegiate ranks out of the major programs. He's also said to be a TOP FIVE PICK by the MAJORITY of NFL talking heads. The guys has 48 TDs to very few INTs in ONE SEASON-FORTY-EIGHT!!!and some act like that's typical of all collegiate QBs-BULLSHIT DELUXE. He was also VOTED the BEST PLAYER IN ALL OF COLLEGE, yea, but he sucks, because he just does, right?

If you look at the history of QB's that have won the Heisman only 1 in the last 20 years + has been worth anything and that was Carson Palmer.

History is against him

I don't understand this argument.

Correlation does not equal causation. The past Heisman flops have nothing to do with Bradford and his pro potential.

Now he's "seriously contemplating"? Not just semi contemplating?

He'll weigh his options? Even considering every bit of info?

This changes EVERYTHING........
